As of now how do you rank the race for MVP? Rank how ever many you want.

1) Kevin Durant
2) Lebron James
3) Tim Duncan
4) Blake Griffin
5) LaMarcus Aldridge
6) Joakim Noah
7) James Harden
8) Dirk Nowitzki

Yea I probably should put him somewhere in there. Probably above Dirk, but the Mavs have been way better than I thought they would have been and Warriors a little worse. Maybe drop Harden.

As long as OKC wins most of their games I do think Durant pretty much has it locked up. So I see Lebron's MVP streak stopping.

Doc says Blake is 2nd

Durant should be the clear cut MVP

1: Durant who rose his game to new heights and carried them when Westbrook went down
2: Lebron who still had a great 27-7-6 season
3: Blake Griffin, imo he's now the 1b player in LA instead of a #2
4: Chris Paul
5: James Harden

KD has had a sensational year.... the 25 point streak would still be going, KD showed class by not playing the 4th quarter of his last game. KD is entering his super prime years, he just might become the most unstoppable perimeter player of all time.

As OKC gets healthy they are looking like a monster.....RW is a athletic freak even with the knee surgeries. They can grab you by the throat on defense as well. I would not be surprised if they win this year and the foreseeable future. They have the big three, SI, KD and RW, all three are super athletic and are still getting better.

Curious why you would have James in the top spot. I have him second behind Durant. Griffin third.

I know it isn't accepted as a rule, but I prefer putting the best player at the top. I had Kobe for years even though no one else agreed with me.

Lebron
KD
Griffin
Tony Parker
Paul George
Noah
Harden
Melo

Chose Lebron bc I see the burden he's under without Wade, and even with him, he does more for that team off and on the floor than KD seems to. KD improved a lot this year in nonscoring ways, actually most nonscoring parts of the game. Plus Lebron gets hit more, and converts. Still like KD better personally, but media is too hivemind, with Kobe in the MVPs he was robbed of, and slightly so here with KD over Lebron IMO.

Griffin - pts for elevating, over Parker bc Parker has more assistance all over. Both over PG bc of his terrible swoon with his team. Noah over Harden, not bc I hate Hardens floppy mentality, but Noah has way less to work with and more turmoil. Plus he works way harder. Hardens D is so lazy or clueless sometimes. Melo with good effort on both sides of the court overall this year, in a pathetic team season.

2nd tier
Curry - should have had kind of season that throws him into MVP conversation, but Warriors just underachieving all season, last night included
Lamarcus A - probably unfair but just blends into the background
Dirk - Melo-like season with more help in Ellis
Dwight - in the right place as a #2 player with no pressure, and in Houston with low expectations
Al Jefferson - numbers
Wheelchair - good job buying in,leading, intelligently fighting age, turning organization poorly led by 'star' Deron

So many players I dislike on my own list. So I'll just add Kobe at the end here:

Kobe - balances out hatred, value clear by absence, joking

2. Lebron

*** big dropoff***

3. Chris Paul
4. Tony Parker
5. James Harden

Seems to me that Tony Parker is having an off year (for his standards), as he's averaging his least amount of points and assists per game since the 09-10 season, and he's only played in 65 games.

It seems like you have to put a Spur in your top 5 MVP ballot because they have the best record in the league, but their roster succeeds as an ensemble more so than other teams who rely on one player.

I think rather than putting Tony Parker high on the MVP ranking, maybe Greg Popovich should get Coach of the Year. Either him or Tom Thibodeau.

Durant
Noah
LeBron

all the others like Griffin, Paul, Curry, Parker are good, but they are nowhere near MVP. And no, LeBron should not get another MVP.

You think Durant could be or more than likely be more unstoppable offensively than MJ or Kobe for example ever were. Wow...

How is Griffin not #2 across the board? LeBron is having a great year, but not an outstanding year for himself in the way that KD and Griffin are.

Most people don't grade MVP on a curve. It's about what a guy is doing this year, not about whether he's doing better than he has in the past.

Because he is an idiot. And idiots can't be #1, #2 or #3.
