@TigeeDwayne no. He doing work like this because of the system. Put Paul George on the spurs what would happen?

.... like Ive been saying, Leonard isnt close to an exceptional talent offensively

Not something I would expect to read from Durant

Sort of shows lack of respect/class
And Jealousy

Regular season mvp disrespecting the finals mvp..

Looks childish

to me this is just like Durant going at Dwade calling Harden the better shooting guard. Durant just doesnt like the over rating's of players , neither do us fans alot of times. and imagine if it was in your profession; some average worker is being touted as GREAT. you wouldnt like that

One thing I find funny.. Lebron 29, Bosh 30, Wade 32. These guys are younger than the MJ/Pippen/Rodman trio that 3-peat. This is the first time following this game where I hear the excuse.. "the role players are old." Doug Collins said that and I had to laugh.

It is childish..plain and simple IMHO

Its like she is so jealous she can't even let the man enjoy one night..

Today is Fathers day and Kawhi's father was murdered exactly six years ago today.

I would congratulate him for sure...
Who was the Finals MVP?

If he has so much envy he shouldn't say anything at all

To be fair, he was responding to a tweet where a guy said Kawhi was better than Paul George. It wasnt like he was just taking a random shot at Kawhi.

Wade looked like a 40 year old out there this series.

Durant is one to talk....Last time I remember Finals MVP>Regular Season MVP...system or no system.
There are a couple of regular season MVP's who would kill to get an NBA Finals appearance let alone win the MVP award and a ring.

That's why I didn't say anything about this. It seemed out-of-context.

Paul George is overrated as ****. Leonard is a better defensive player. PG is obviously a superior offensive player, but we don't know Leonard's ceiling yet. He's raw as **** on offense still. Very clunky looking.

It'll take time to see where Kawhi goes on offense.

Dude scored 20 straight 3 games in a row without having any offensive plays called for him (as Pop said in the post game interview). I'd say his offense is pretty good.

I actually look at that like KD is saying how great the spurs system (pop)is which most spurs coaches and players have said compared to other teams that haven't had the type of system of success.(his own team's system).I see others can read that and take it negatively as well..

Who's gonna beat the Spurs next year? If they resign Diaw/Mills, they have got to be the favorite to win it again.

He's also a guy who just had the best 3 games of his career at the best possible time. Before he starts getting lumped in with the allstars and greats, he will have to do this on a more consistent basis. He's young so it's definitely possible.

Kobe's just a glorified JR Smith. Iverson and T-Mac could have easily won with Shaq. Heck maybe even Michael Redd.

Durant needs to shut his ass up. It's pathetic and unbecoming of the "regular season mvp". I mean really, he comes off extremely jealous not giving credit where it's due. Kawhi Leonard should not be punished for performing at a high level when he was called upon to do so. I don't care what the system is, the dude could have sucked it up totally and he didn't.

But....you know...I guess when you just can't admit that you don't have what it takes to be a champion...immaturity strikes again.

I found it extremely fitting Kawhi won the Finals MVP on Father's Day since his dad got killed in Compton, CA. It was like an honor to his dad. Nice to see his mother was there to see it all unfold, she must've been real proud. He's a quiet and humble kid with alot of potential.

I'm a little envious we don't really have a successor to Kobe yet. Well...at least until after the upcoming draft and/or trades.

I find it hilarious how a lot of ESPN anchors are acting as if they've just been to a funeral they're so depressed the Spurs won.

Jesus Has there ever been a beatdown of epic proportions as this years nba finals in terms of margin of victory? Even in 2004 against Detroit it was close for 2 games and when we swept the nets it was still close all series.

As much as I hate the spurs and their fan base you gotta tip your hat to guys like Parker and Duncan, nothing but respect.

Lol at Miami. Lebron is great talent, but I will slap a ho if I hear goat mention in the same sentence as lebron. Hopefully this lost will make d bags like d fake, Haslem, Allen and battier go into retirement and fade into oblivion.

For some reason, Spurs just can't repeat. I think they lack that edge when it comes to repeating that you need. They seem to get a bit complacent.

Spurs have never won back to back titles so I'd say the odds are good that they won't win next year. It takes such a physical and emotional toll to make that many deep playoff runs, let alone be the hunted each and every night.

Just look at Miami. Aside from Bron they literally had nothing left in the tank.
