Quote:
Sources told the Charleston Daily Mail on Tuesday afternoon that D’Antoni will remain the head coach of the Lakers and, thus, will not be in position to accept the vacant Herd hoops job.

D’Antoni is staying put. Hamrick is moving on.

I'm not saying I know anything either, but why would some random newspaper in Charleston know anything about what the Lakers are going to do?

He's saying D'Antoni informed Marshall he can't take their job because he will be back in LA next season.

If the Lakers keep DAntoni I'm gonna be irate. They just need to get rid of him and cut our losses, I don't give a damn who takes over for him. I just want him gone ASAP

I just wanted to let everyone know, I was at 7-11 today and the cashier told me that MDA is staying. I am devastated right now.

Don't believe what's written about Mike D'Antoni. Lakers and Mike haven't met yet

Medina says it's false.

Not surprised at all, and I'm ok with it. Next year is just another treadmill season, I think. Unless we get like the #1 pick or else Love in a trade.

MDA has an open offer to become the coach of Marshall University, in his native West Virginia.

Would be kind of cute if MDA turned down the job to stay in LA and then gets fired anyway...

Absolutely False.

The Lakers have not met with Mike yet.

Its only Tuesday evening and Mike D took a long weekend.

They said in the press conf that they would not chat with Mike D till at least later in this week.
