He is and it's not even close. |

Yes, he is. |
Not unless Miguel Cabrera died.
The hype for Trout is ridiculous. Not even close to being the best in baseball, let alone the best athlete in CA. |
Wrong. Trout is the best all around player in the game. |

Miguel Cabrera is great with the bat. Mike Trout is great overall. Its actually not even close. Oh, and I am 35. I dont know if that makes me old or not. |

Has Trout even played a single playoff game yet? I don't follow much baseball, and he sounds like an amazing player, but he has done absolutely nothing as of yet. Nobody in CA is even close to prying away Kobe's king of Cali crown, even after an Achilles tear and nearly a full missed season. |

All the talk about Trout? Really? What talk? I bet you 90% of So Cal residents wouldn't even recognize Mike Trout if he walked right in front of them. I sure as hell wouldn't.
Great player? Sure. Best athlete in California? |

"Most popular" and "best" are two different things. |

Have you not seen the subway commercials? By the way, he signed a 7 year 144 million dollar deal while the angels still had 4 years of club control. That is unheard of and exactlyhow good he is. King of California? This is a Lakers region. Dont know how anyone couod think otherwise. |

Love trout, and he is the best player in baseball but I would argue the best athlete in California is Blake griffin |

DeAndre Jordan is a better athlete and more popular/recognizable than Trout in LA. |

I think it depends on who is walking down the street. I know a lot of people who hate basketball because of the flopping, and whininess of the players. |

I'm not a baseball fan, so this isn't saying much, but I honestly have never heard of that guy. I never watch baseball but I've at least heard of Pujol's or however you spell his name! |

Trout is baseball's K Love. Pretty stats but 0 playoff appearances. And he is not better than Miggy. |

Best athlete award should be shared by Puig, Griffen, and Trout. _________________ D.Moogle ~ odom raised the eyebrows of everyone in attendance, except for Charlie Villanueva"on Lamar postup" |

He is the best though, he is the micky mantle of this generation |
Actually, Cabrera is closer to being this generation's Mickey Mantle, considering that like the Mick, he's got a triple crown under his belt. |

What a foolish statement to spout. The Angels organization hasn't been playing well for some time now. The guy produces like Kobe but that hasn't translated to wins. _________________ D.Moogle ~ odom raised the eyebrows of everyone in attendance, except for Charlie Villanueva"on Lamar postup" |

Mike Trout is 22 years old. You cant compare basketball and baseball players impact. Do you have good pitchers on your team? Can your 6-7-8-9 hitters get on base? In basketball, theres 5 guys working together at all times. But, to say Mike Trout hasnt been to the playoffs isnt a very good argument. This is his 3rd year in the majors. |

Mickey Mantle played great defense and stooe bases. Cabrera is a fat ass. He can hit with the best of them, but he is terrible defensively and slow as hell on the base paths. There is a reason baseball people compare Trout to Mantle. Cabrera is more Pujols. |

So he has 0 playoff appearances despite the fact that he's been producing. Just like Love. |

Except cabrera doesn't resemble mickey in any way, shape, or form. Mantle ran like a gazelle and played great defense, hit for power, and average.
Miguel Cabrera is more like this generations Albert Pujols, except Pujols didn't strike out as much. Had Pujols played in Comerica, he would have better stats. Same can be said for Mike Trout. |
