he doesn't. especially on the road or in the 4th on the road. i love it when he operates from the post and decides that night to let the game come to him and recognize cutters, spot up shooters, and dropping off to bigs. this is once every 10 games, maybe.
an amateur can notice this.

Unlikely we can get LeBron and Melo. If you can, you do it. Barring that, flip Gasol to the Bulls for Boozer and a first round pick, then start acquiring young assets. Throw in Ed Davis off the Bench at C with Randle splitting time with Boozer and that's a deep, young, exciting team. |

One interesting thing on Isaiah Thomas. Boston called the first day of free agency expressing interest in him, they then gave a major offer to Bradley and drafted Smart.
At this point, wouldn't it behoove L.A. to make a call to Boston about Rondo? Perhaps Clarkson impresses in summer league and they'll consider him plus a couple of 2nds. |

Nash gets waived when you stretch him. gotta stretch him to have $ for Pau.

Go for broke roster.
Trade Nash + 3 mil for Asik. Pelicans should do it since they already got 1.5 mil from Houston for a top 20 protected pick. And they don't have to pay Asik an extra7 mil. Nash by now has decided to retire because there's nothing to accomplish in NO. Nash gets a buyout for 6 mil spread over 2 years. NO gets a retired player exemption to get another player. Nash comes back to Lakers as an associate coach for 12 mil over 3 years.
with Kobe, Asik in place, Melo signs, LBJ follows.
C: Asik (8mil) , Sacre (1mil)
PF: Randle (3mil), Kelly (1mil)
SG: Kobe (24mil), Clarkson(.7 mil)
SF: melo(18 mil), Wes(1mil)
PG: LBJ(18), Marshall(1)
This puts them in the 75 mil range.
They can go over the cap and resign pau at MLE. That's way more depth than Miami with the big 3 back + mcBob, Granger. It's Back to the 4 HOF formula for the Lakers. They say having 4 #1 option has failed before but 3rd time's charm.
Who'll be the coach? Don't matter. Anyone can coach the HOFour. Spoelsta is really a bum. Battier or Fox (defensive minds) should fit in well with Nash (offensive mind). A team really run by players. |

Lance Stevenson (if Kobe's not ready to start the season)
Trevor Ariza (Back Where he Belongs)
Julius Randle ( will average a double double and win ROY bank on it!)
Greg Monroe (our big FA pickup and Center of the future)
We will have another non playoff season, get another high lottery pick next year and cap space for another run at big name FAs...Kobe will play 1 and done!
I hope im wrong but trying to be realistic. |
