^It might need some more cowbell
With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high-tension wires down
Helpless people on subway trains
Scream, bug-eyed, as he looks in on them
He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town
Oh, no, they say he's got to go
Go, go, Godzilla (yeah)
Oh, no, there goes (spoiler Boston)
Go, go, Godzilla (yeah)
Oh, no, they say he's got to go
Go, go, Godzilla (yeah)
Oh, no, there goes (spoiler Boston)
Go, go, Godzilla (yeah)
Godzilla! |

Saw the movie a couple nights ago. Huey is completely right with his checklist from last page.
The movie is well made. Only drawback was the corny dialogue at times. But the action was top notch. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

Eh, the dialogue, acting, and story are terribly cheesy and mediocre. The only good parts of the movie imo were the monster battles which were too far in between until towards the end of the movie. I'd give it a 6/10. Wait for the stream and just skip to the monster battles the story and dialogue are trash
I liked the first one from 2014 better and Kong Skull Island was way better than both |

I think the long gap in time between the movies really hurt the non action elements. Outside of the head of Monarch. I don't remember if any of the other characters were in the past movies or not.
That 2014 Godzilla used the whole 1st act to make the audience care about the family. I don't remember Skull Island that well. But I do remember the movie taking it's time before seeing Kong. So screen time was spent to give the people depth.
But out of all 3 movies. This new one had the best action. So it's my favorite. Well done action on a ginormous scale is the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reason why I go and see these monster movies. Everything else is just icing on the cake. Something you can get in better quality with other genres of movies. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”

You should re-watch Skull Island. It has great action imo because it's done mostly in broad daylight on the island which looks spectacular |

I preferred Kong's action as well. That helicopter scene was awesome. |

After Monster Zero and Kong, where is there to go?
Godzilla was released by Warner Brothers so maybe Godzilla vs. Justice League. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

I've never understood how kong would ever compete with godzilla. They'd have to scale him up at least 4x in size, and then he'd still have to contend with having zero range. _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."
