Isn't Lance restricted free agent? I'm not really fan of playing the RFA game. |

Lowry ?
I'm in on Lowry-Kobe-Gasol- and using our pick to bring in 1 or 2 more guys. Lowry is a smart unselfish guy, he's perfect next to Kobe. He's sorta similar to Fisher except he has better pg skills like creating for others.
Maybe Gibson, Dunleavy, and 19th pick. I know the Bulls wanna go after Melo and need to free up cap... Gibson is a tough nosed guy who will complement Gasol and Dunleavy brings excellent spacing for the big 4. Then I like TJ Warren at 19 to bring some scoring off the bench. I'd also try and bring Hill back but it may be to costly.
Lowry / Nash / Marshall
Kobe / Bazemore / Henry
Dunleavy / Warren 19
Gibson / Hill / Kelly
Gasol / Sacre
Maybe go after Elton Brand or Kris Humphries to help up front if we can't get Hill back. This team is playoff worthy if healthy.

I'd go with Lance. His personality could clash with the team, but look at how Artest blended well with Kobe and the rest of the squad. Stephenson is so much younger than Melo and I see a lot of potential in him.
Plus, Melo would obviously cost us more, so if we go with Stephenson, we'd have money left over to get better talent.
(I also think he's a freakin character. The L.A. fans would totally support him for sure). |

I don't know if we'll seriously pursue Carmelo because I don't think Jeanie wants to steal him away from Phil.
I don't see us offering anyone but LeBron the max or anything close to it.
Stephenson is more likely as he is cheaper and younger. |

Lance Stephenson easy. He is far younger, will be cheaper, and is a more well rounded player than Melo. Plus the Lakers need to rebuild. I can't believe all these proposed trades on this board for scrub veterans. Keep the 7th pick.
Why would you trade the 7th pick for Taj Gibson, Mike Dunleavy, and the 19th pick? Awful trade. Gibson is ok, but those two guys aren't going to make the lakers contenders. Besides, this is going to likely be the Lakers only high pick in the next five or six years. Keep it and take either Randle, Smart, Gordon or Vonleh. |

I'd much rather trade it for a proven guy who can come in right away to help. Gibson is a very underrated player. He's a starting guy on most teams. You can swap 19 with 16 thinking about it and land Zach LaVine, Rodney Hood, or Adriean Payne. IMO we have a better shot now with Lowry, Kobe, Gibson, and Gasol. Kobe and Melo are the same player, we need guys with a defensive mentality. Lance has potential yo be great but is still very immature and right now not suitable plus he's a SG like Kobe .
IMO I'd rather go Gibson, Dunleavy, LaVine > Randle. I know what I'm getting from Gibson and his contract is fesabile. I want to compete now! I want to see Kobe back at it! The 16th pick we can still get a potential star. |

I would rather have Melo. He's a top 7 player and he can be a 2nd option on a championship team. Also, Melo guarantees us an all star caliber player for the next 4 years and well after Kobe retires.
Love will have more options other then the Lakers like the Rockets or Knicks with cap space. He wants to go to a team with young all stars. |

I think Lance will be an Allstar next season. He plays on both ends he Rebs and get assist. He defends sf well so he can play sf for us _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

Yes we can. I would prefer Lance and Collison only so that still leaves us money to sign a big. |

Well Melo, if it means that we get LBJ. If we can't get LBJ, then I would prefer Lance for the following reasons:
1. Lance is a 2 way player
2. Lance would be about 10-12 million dollars per year cheaper
3. Lance is about 6 years younger then Melo
4. Lance would be a better fit with Kobe |

Collison isn't a bad 3rd option for pg. He's good at getting into the paint. What bigs would you pursue? _________________ Coach Vogel, Kidd, Hollins

If we are unable to sign Lebron, I would go all in on Lance. Sure, it is a gamble but I would take the gamble. I have a feeling we would face some tough competition for him and he would end up being pricy. I would go 4years/48million for the guy. An average of 12 million per year is pretty good for a third option. |

Monroe proper position is the 5 spot. For a 5... He has the speed.
He's also 23 going on 24.
Lance while young is a headcase.... see his teammates not really wanting him extended... That's telling. You can add a headcase if you already have the pieces in place (see Rodman on the Bulls), but the Lakers aren't that close... all you'd be doing is locking up a head case long term.
Melo is would bother me less... because it's just a 4 year deal and he plays durant well... but I think the Lakers would be a better team spreading around all that money to several other players (see Dallas)... then put all their eggs in the Melo basket.
Lebron is a guy who you put all the eggs in the basket of...
Melo.... nah. _________________ How can I get a copy of a Laker game played on Sunday, March 11, 2001 Sonics/Lakers? If you know PM me please
