Lance Stephenson is the obvious choice based on his age, talent, and lower salary he will likely command. But his maturity is a huge issue. Lance woke the "sleeping dragon" in LeBron by calling him out and blowing on him, fought with his teammates, and stole rebounds from his bigs to pad his stats. That is especially troubling as the Pacers had the best record in the East, a solid locker room of veterans, and the urgency of the playoffs on their side and still they couldn't get through to Lance. That says a lot to me. But Lance over Melo would also mean that the Lakers would have more money to fill out their roster.

It's tough to say though because I think a tough coach like Lionel Hollins might be able to get Lance to stop the shenanigans and focus on basketball. If that were to happen, he would be an absolute steal. However, if he continues on like he is right now, I could see him and Kobe doing some serious head-butting for the next two years! Lance is a definite gamble but the fact that he would cost much less than Melo and allow another quality player to be signed would make it hard for me to choose Melo over Lance.

Lance is going to blossom in Charlotte. I see him taking that team to a possible top 3 position in the East, competing with, ironically the Pacers for the 3rd spot (Clev, Chicago, Pacers/Charlotte/Washington).
