LAkers 4 Life wrote: | LA Kings choke away the game against the Ducks with a 2 goal lead in the third. Kings looked really bad too. The suspension and injuries are taking a toll on the team. They look slow. Their defense has been subpar. They're not working hard to get the puck and when they do their passes haven't been very good. Quick hasn't been good in shootouts this season but he played balls out tonight. Pretty embarrassing effort by the Kings when the Ducks can dominate the shots without Perry and Beauchemin after so many days off. Anaheim looked really good. They just dominated play from start to finish and would've won easily if they had better goaltending. Kings cannot afford to give away any points this early with the way they're playing. Poor effort by the guys. |
It was a really frustrating game to watch, the Kings definitely let a sure win get away. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Yep. That's all that matters. However, they still need to pick it up before they fall too far behind in the Standings. There's literally no room to breathe in the Western Conference. Even a mediocre Calgary Flames are ahead of us in the Standings... yikes. _________________

Sad reality.
Drew will probably get the nomination just to appease the western hockey world. Norris will likely goto an EC D-man who puts up 60 points playing half-ass defense, and is -15.... |

Chicago-LA matchup tonight. Hawks have looked really good the last few games. At the end of the first, they lead 2-0 on the Kings. Quick just doesn't play his best against them. He made the mistake of trying to play the puck and got burned on that second goal. Kopitar has not looked good this season. |

Jordan Nolan for Tyler Myers? If Dean can make it work, Sutter will make it work. |
There's absolutely no way a Jordan Nolan-Tyler Myers trade happens... unless Dean wants to rid himself of all the Slava stuff and can somehow include him in the deal. Don't know if Myers is the right fit for the team though. |

Alec Martinez signs a 6 yr/$24 million deal. A little higher than I'd like, but good move to lock up another big part of the team. At some point Dean Lombardi is gonna have to trade someone to be cap compliant, right? Kings must retain Tyler and Tanner.

Unless that cap takes a massive jump this offseason, Williams is pretty much gone unless he takes a sweet discount. |

They could always trade/lose Voynov once his situation is resolved. With several defensemen knocking on the door, they'd have to make some moves in the future anyways. |

Damnit Voynov. Cut his ass now.
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-sn-slava-voynov-20141215-story.html
Quote: | The preliminary hearing provided the first public account of the alleged incident between Voynov and his wife, Marta Varlamova.
Redondo Beach Police Officer Gregory Wiist, the lone witness at the hearing, testified that Varlamova was bleeding and distraught when he interviewed her in the early hours of Oct. 20 at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance.
"She was crying, sobbing," Wiist said. "I saw tears running down her face. She was an emotional wreck."
The officer noted a 1.2-inch cut near Varlamova's left eye that required eight stitches to close and "bruising, red marks, scratches" on her neck.
According to Wiist's account, Varlamova told him during two recorded interviews that night that Voynov hit her in the face during an argument at a Halloween party and the conflict continued at their Redondo Beach home.
"He threw her to the ground multiple times," Wiist said. "On the ground, he repeatedly kicked her all over her body in addition to choking her approximately three times."
Voynov then pushed Varlamova into a flat-screen television mounted on their bedroom wall, the officer testified she told him, which opened a cut that required the stitches. |

Classic Kings/Blues game.
Blues come out hot at Staples. Kings put together epic stretch of goals, usually with a crazy one included (Penner buzzer beater/King center-ice goal). |

Gonna need a D-Man this time around it feels like. Complete carousel back there this season with Slav losing his mind, and the rest of pairings falling to injuries one way or the other.
Really miss having Scuds and Mitchell back there like in 2012. |

Oh yea, that's a must. Wish Doughty could score more goals to help dissipate the EC bias. But he's being called more to help that rotating roster of D-men. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif
