It seems like he's better on guards than forwards with perimeter skills, oddly. |

think it had more to do with not wanting to pick up his 6th foul. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

It looks like the intimidation factor is growing with Randle. At his size and now having the ability to throw his body around with physicality is something.
It will be interesting to see Randle's market this summer. I think he's earned himself some money wth his play. Does he end up with Gary Harris money? Maybe a little under that? _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

You got guards afraid Randle is gonna chase down block them despite them having a 3-4 step lead on him.
Not many power forwards in the NBA can do that. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I wish we got the chance to see what a Randle/Porzingis front court could have looked liked. Porzingis out deep and Randle down low. Filthy.
Thanks Mitch for listening to Byron on that one. |

Not going to lie, I wanted Russell. Then again I didn't see Porzingis first hand like they did. In a redraft Porzingis might go #1 since Towns completely forgot how to play defense. |

The knock on Porky was always health, but while it wasn’t an issue at draft time, DLO hasn’t been healthier. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Yeah, people were afraid Porzingis would have those big men knee problems. |

Porzingis is a monster, a unicorn. Guy competes on D, I give him a lot of credit. Zingis>>>>>>>>Dlo and it is not even close.
I am sad we missed out on him but I've said it before, not a lot of people were clamoring for us to draft him at the time at the #2. He was a skinny euro player, some are great like Paul and some stink like Darko. At least we did not take Oakafor. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

It was DLO vs. Oak, let's not kid ourselves. Philly wanted DLO and Phil Jax wanted DLO too. Knicks lucked into Porky who is absolutely crushing it.
However, careers aren't made in 2-3 seasons. Let's give it more time to see how it pans out with these talented young players. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Maybe among the fans, but Mitch and Jim were blown away by KP's Vegas workout. They brought him in for a private workout in LA, but for some reason put him through a bunch of traditional big man drills with Mad Dog beating him up in the post.
Worse- they invited a lame duck coach who was a failure at previous stops with a known antagonism towards 3 pt shooting and asked him what he thought.
KP
Randle
BI
JC
Zo
That's an incredible young core.
Randle's development and drafting Kuz Make me forget about it most of the time, but every time I watch KP play I start thinking "How could they have passed on his combo of 3 pt shooting and rim protection?" |

Eh. I'm happy with getting BI and Lonzo the following drafts (assuming Porzingis gives us a lesser chance to get the following #2s) |

But who knows if we get another 2 #2 picks. Porky on a bad Knicks team was effective enough that they got lower picks. I just think it's hindsight and something that wasn't as apparent at the time. Porky was passed up by the analytics minded 76ers too. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Porzingis actually refused to workout for Philly and with the help of his agent did everything in his power to avoid that situation. Otherwise Hinkie most likely takes him instead of Okafor. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points." |

Point is that 2 teams passed on him. I wouldn’t get torn up about it bc we are positioned hopefully to make a big splash this upcoming summer. What’s done is done. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Pretty much. People get so hung up on "we could had Porzingis" they completely forget that what we got in return was a 19 year old guard that could play both positions and drop 30-39 on a given night depending on how many opportunities he got.
THAT is just as special. People act like Russell was some kind of lame duck in comparison to Porzingis. No, he was as special just at a different position, you watch how Lonzo's rookie season goes or how Ingram's rookie season has gone and you compare it to Russell's as well as what Russell was able to do for this team in his 2nd season and our record till people started getting hurt and you see how taken for granted the kid was. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

There's no comparison between KP and DLo.
One is a franchise player who impacts both ends of the court.
The other puts up numbers but is a defensive liability. |
