Maybe if we didn't sign deng and movgov to those contracts we wouldn't have to |
One of the dumbest things continually posted here, we don’t have to. Our FO chooses to do so, it is all on them. Why do you think we have to? |
They have to because its part of their plan. You might not like it but that's their plan. They had to trade Russell to get rid of movgov and might have to trade randle. If they don't execute the plan I'm all for laying blame but one of the other dumbest things posted is continually bashing the plan when it hasn't been executed |

Still didn't have to. |
No didn't have to chose to. They decided to trade a lottery pick to get rid of a bad contract. Without that contract on the books maybe they wouldn't made the trade |

Just for clarity, we've only traded one lotto guy so far right?
Going forward, if we trade a lotto guy but bring in another lotto guy, do they cancel each other out? Just wondering if trading a lotto for a lotto negates the OP's point. |

LOL. Just wanted to make sure if it's the player or the lotto player we're unhappy about. |

Always trade the player, not the pick. Then lament if you trade back-to-back lottery picks either for drafting poorly, trading poorly, or a combination of both. |

Still could eat the salary for youth like Hinkie's Sixers or the Nets currently. |

To be fair, Lakers never went full tank.
If they did, Kobe wouldn't have been traded. |

Kobe had a no trade clause so unless he wanted to be traded, he wasn't going to be. As for Randle, why take back Smart when we wouldn't have to take back anything? _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

He hit the floor hard . Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be a bruised tailbone or something that'll sit him. |

Looking back, I think I was drunk when I posted the James Johnson comparison.
But I wouldn't mind Julius being a consistent 32mpg guy on my team depending on roster construction. |

Great second half. He took it to Morris and Horford down low. |

Another monster game by Randle. 14/14 in just 26 minutes with 5 offensive boards and a couple other times the Lakers gained a possession from him ether being fouled on the offensive glass or a Lakers team rebound he forced.
What I liked about his game tonight was that Horford came prepared. He got the best of Randle on his first three one on one possessions, but after that he adjusted, went to bully ball and found a way to be effective. |

Great game by JR. Julius is a true Laker. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

It's games like this where I think how Cousins and PG should be the offseason plan just so we don't lose Julius. The kid is a night and day different player from when he entered the league.
>>> Ideally, in the most pipe sense possible, Magic can sell Boogie and PG and taking less than the max so we can find a way to keep Clarkson <<< |

PG might not want to come alone though. |

Possibly not. It will depend on two things. OKC getting bounced early in the playoffs and Lakers continuing to be competitive. |

It doesn’t matter who we bring in, Julis Randle needs to be a part of this teams future. |
