Although the people that spell Randle's last name with Randall (intentionally or not) piss me off.

I like Don Julio should be universally adopted as Randall's nickname.

i think Beast sounds better and easy.

Very steady game from Randle tonight. Let the game come to him and the ball didn't stick

We are starting to see the reasons that Mitch had that crap-eating grin after drafting Julius.

There was a laundry list of things I was hoping to see Randle improve on earlier this season, and it looks to me like he's making major improvements in most of them.

I saw one sequence when NO went around the horn with a Laker defender closing and greeting them at each stop, until they reached the far corner, tried to swing inside behind the defender and boom Randle was right there where he should have been, on a long sequence, not lost in the slightest - stopped the drive, Pelican miss and Laker ball. Just seeing him do that gives me hope he's learning team defense.

I also him throw a couple picks and he's actually starting to roll to the basket a little. Maybe it's just me seeing what I want to see, but I'd swear he looks like he's starting to get it.

And that no-hesitation dagger from outside earlier in the game - booyah! Got to respect Randle. You can't handle. Randle.

As far as nicknames, I like Julius Rambo, for obvious reasons.

I thought he did very well defensively against Anthony Davis

Most of davis's points came against bass or black, or when randle was screened.

Randle is going to be a very good 2 way player

If we get the #1 or #2 pick, does that mean we end up trading julius?

If we do, I hope it's with a package for Blake Griffin or Westbrook.

If it's Simmons I'd give 2 years, with a jump shot one can play SF or you trade one, most likely Julius, but who knows ...

With Ingram it's instant fit.

I like Simmons a bit better, he's an all round do it all player, but Ingram should fit nicely.

Ingram would be near perfect alongside Randle. He brings length and shotblocking on defense. He'll also be a low usage catch-and-shoot player for his first couple seasons in the league, while Randle's studly rebounding would offset young Ingram's lack of strength.

Simmons and Randle's skillsets overlap a lot, and both would need to develop a jumper to work together, but it would be a fun experiment to see them on the court together grabbing all the rebounds and leading fast-breaks.

So no, don't trade Randle.

Hell, it's presumptive to even assume we'll keep the pick. People keep acting as if it's a sure thing the Lakers will get the #2 pick as if we haven't consistently seen bad teams end up with lower picks than expected. Just last year the Knicks fell far in the draft considering their record.

If we fall in the draft our pick is gone.

Even if we keep the pick a bunch of people will either start coming up with stupid trades for Demarcus Cousins or some talking about how Simmons is a bust because he's not a clear cut MVP candidate 10 games into the season.

Yup!! Couldn't have said it better myself!

It's frustrating to read sometimes. But after you see it over and over from various posters there's nothing you can do but laugh lol

I can't wait for us to settle this pick arleady. We'll have to pay the piper sooner or later...just get it over with.
