He played superb perimeter and PnR defense today as well. Nothing as spectacular as that steal against Burke, just good, solid defense. He was pretty much the only one.

After seeing what Randle is capable of in somewhat limited action, I have increased my predictions for his numbers this season. I believe I was around 12/7-8.

Now I'm going to say 17.1 pts 7.4 rebs, 3.2 assts. You really have only seen him in rush mode pretty much his whole career, if you want to call it that? I think he can fill it up decently when he tones it down a bit, still a rookie.

He's the one. Other people on other boards are starting to take notice. This guy has the tools man, he has it all. Not even 21 yet. Wow.

Jules could be our best player and be the face of this franchise. I have a feeling D'Angelo is kinda soft

I don't think that Russell is soft; he's just very young.

Struck gold on two picks now.

All we need is Russell's breakout game and the Clipper fans can change bandwagons again

Raptor fans on RealGM were calling him a scrub going off.

A lot of people take to Julius' style of play, including myself. A PF who can handle the ball and pass is just so aesthetically pleasing. He has a lot of fans, was really hyped in high school, great at Kentucky. Some fanbases are jealous tho.

Yah. I mean, if he adds that -- man, he'd be unstoppable. Just good enough to respect it. Right now you give him the jumper and he'll probably miss it.

If Randle adds a serious midrange jumpshot, he can easily turn into a 22-24ppg scorer. It's down the line but the potential is there.

randle will get 20 ppg at ease in my opinion. Maybe not this year but by year three? Oh yeah. He's just so smooth around the basket

Well at least I can say we have our star of the future. It took two miserable years but Randle is on the way to being a star in this league.

His jumper is further along than a lot of us think. He will start showing it more soon. Also, Russell is a sure thing. Maybe not as a true Pg the way the lakers want him to be but he's a star in this league. He's the balance between Randle and clarksons aggressive natures.

Randle for sure a future star, Russell I'm a little worried to be honest.

JR has to work hard for his points. Meaning he has to be active and get put backs, which is difficult to do every game.

If he wants to ave 20 a game easier, he has to develop that jumper. If he gets his jumper to karl malone status, he'll be unstoppable.

I'm not worried at all. I've watched a lot of Russell and Randle. They are both stars and their games compliment each other. Clarkson/Randle/Russell will mesh very well for a long time.

I agree. Russell is going to set Randle up for easy buckets. And Randle and Russell have great playmaking abilities and the team will get easy looks. Clarkson can do that too, although he looks to score more with Russell on the court. But they'll figure it all out. they could all be really good passers.

People just have different react each game.

A week ago, I thought most people think Russell is legit and worried about Randle being bust.

Fans just fans, really know nothing.

Just wait till Russell extends his range to NBA territory. I don't think he's there yet. Also I feel as if he's more effective in the half court as a 2 rather than a 1, just my observations after watching so many games while he was at Ohio State. When he's the 1, he feels obligated to get the ball moving to get his teammates going. The good thing is he seems as if hes all about winning. I'm still waiting to see something from Russell, but I have faith in the kid.

As for how julius and Russell dynamic will work, I really would like to see some 2 man game between them the next preseason game. Let them operate on one half of the court by themselves, and see what they can do. I really feel like they can be a dangerous tandem

Hibbert is a good passer for a five, and a decent scorer.

Russel, Clarkson, Kobe and Randle are all above average scorers and passers, in different degrees, but they can all create, play off the ball, and finish.

I think prime LO had much better handles.

Another outstanding game from Randle on both ends of the floor. I liked how he started to slow himself down a little before going for that Dirk like fadeaway on a couple of his shots. Also that play around the back on the break and then the assist to Kobe for 3 was sick af. I really hope the core 3 and Kobe stay healthy this season it could be very exciting to watch.
