Hard to talk about Pau without bringing up the way he was mishandled by the FO in the last few years. He was well compensated for his time. But so are other quality players with his size, skill, and ability. Wish him the best in Chicago!

Will never forget Chris Paul and his little man syndrome. "Don't son me! I'm not your son".

So, he's a grown man being treated like a boy and he's supposed to let some fool pat him on the head? If he were 6'5 and had done the same thing then what?

Kobe certainly has detractors and critics, but that hardly makes him under appreciated.

No, that's not what makes him under appreciated. What makes him that is degree to which so many Laker fans criticize him for virtually everything he does when he is easily the greatest Laker player of all time.

Loved that moment. Just proved what a little (beep) CP is.

I appreciate all he did for the Lakers. I'm ready to see us move on for someone less injury prone (Boozer) and a rookie with ton of promise (Randle).

Lakres are going to sorely miss Pau this year...The only seven footer we have on the roster is Robert Sacre and he doesn't have anything resembling the skills of Pau.

He didn't play the defense of a 7 footer anyway and Boozer is just as good as him on offense for a starting 4..

PF - Boozer and Randle, Kelly (some at SF also for Kelly)

SF - Henry and Johnson

SG - Bryant, Young

PG: Nash, Lin, Clarkson

No, not at all. Kobe is vastly overappereciated simply because we had NOBODY on the team worth a damn after Shaq left, until Pau arrived and IMMEDIATELY turned the team around into a championship contender...which is why GASOL should be much more appreciated by the fans than he ever has been.

Kobe has NEVER been underappreciated by Lakers fans, ever.

most under appreciated LA star by far..

this is probably the most underaprecited play between them kobe and gasol

kobe driving 1 on 4 does a spin move and gasol is in the right place and the right time.

He played pretty damn good defense against Boozer during the playoffs. Pau manhandled Boozer on offense too. Boozer is a tier below Pau.

He's still on my Facebook. I saw a pic of him with a Bulls #16 jersey. It irritated me a bit.

I am tempted to unfollow. But I feel bad because he's a good guy.

I guess I missed out on all of the times Pau was mishandled by the FO.

Game 7 vs the Celtics by Pau was really a gutty performance. My favorite Gasol moments as a Laker occurred in that game I would say.

He was GASTRONG for all the marbles and picked up the team with his play in the pivotal second half power beatdown that was administered to the boys in Green.

Pau was key to that, that was ultimate Pau.

I really thought Derek Fisher was the most unappreciated Laker but I guess Gasol is a close second,.

We should all go have an orange mocha frappuccino for Kobe, Pau, Sasha and Phil.

I didn't cry, but the way he left...it sucked. The way the FO treated him...sucked. The way a bunch of fans here treated him....sucked.

I'm also pissed we got nothing for him....I guess Boozer is an indirect present. Maybe he's 70% as good as Pau?

Fisher always played his butt off and made huge plays when it counted, agree Fish is probably the most under appreciated of the last 10 years.

you know what is pretty gangsta though..

when the front office wanted to trade him, when the media scrutinized, when most fans on these laker forums always bashed him, for being soft, etc..

KOBE always had his back.

I really hope that when Gasol and the Bulls come and visit the Lakers at staples.. he gets the longest and biggest standing ovation from the crowd.
