There's really no one outside of Lebron James or Anthony Davis that would be worth it IMO.

I'll add Steph Curry and Klay Thompson to that list. But that's it!

What star would be available ? Can't sign and trade for Aldridge, right? Thunder move Westbrook for Okafor?

depends on who its for.
As of now we are a couple of seasons from contending so there's no need to have a player already well into their prime for this season.
But on the flip side besides a few exceptions theres always a good chance your top draft pick can bust out so there is an advantage to getting a known commodity.

I think he'll at least look around. It'd have to be a pretty crazy, "can't miss" package for us to actually go through with it though. I hope we keep it,

Hell no. Towns and Okafor will be better than anyone we could get.

Would trade it for Cousins. Would want the 6th pick to draft WCS. Would throw Clarkson or Randle in there to make it happen.

Cousins won't be traded according to the kings GM.

Are you serious? You're essentially trading two top five picks for a guy who's never even made the postseason.

That's (bleep) crazy.

if his name is not Anthony Davis I aint listening. Besides Lakers will soon have the Defense of Davis in Towns

Mitch should focus on adding Talent with that Cap space not deplete proven talent.

Guess we'll keep it as good bigs are a rarity in NBA these days. We could get Westbrook in 2017 if we have a good core anyway.

If Mitch is doing his job than he has to put that pick on the table to see what he can fetch.

Of course, if he doesn't get anything that blows him away, then he'll keep it and draft Russell or one of the young bigs.

Advantage, Mitch.

I'd do that in a heartbeat if I was the Kings.

No way would I also throw in Randle or even Clarkson.

After all that losing for two seasons there is no way I'm giving up our picks so easily.

Doesn't this boost our free agent appeal significantly? We got lucky today, accept it and don't do anything stupid.

I must have missed Towns or Okafor leading their team to the postseason? Neither of those guys have played a game in the NBA, and Cousins is what you hope either of them will become. Furthermore, Cousins could be a FA beacon. Durant will be a FA next season and Westbrook one after that, they won't have time to impress. Not to mention the FA crop this season.

I really hope everyone is right! Whoever we pick will be a huge part of our future success. Trading it away is one of my nightmares.

Lebron is a free agent. No need to waste a top pick for him.

GoldenThroat seems to think there is a decent chance that the pick gets moved.

Yet produces on the floor. Again, we hope that either of them will produce the way he does, and if they do, it'll take a minimum 3-4 years. Cousins is the FA beacon. You have Cousins on this team along with either Randle or Clarkson, you have a legit shot at Durant or Westbrook.
