Paul and Rivers we're on him.

He always plays like that.. Cuz he can't dribble on the perimeter. I wonder how much his offense is gunna improve. I dont have much faith personally, in terms of improvement

Fadeaway and Stepbacks.

His next step would be the 2-3 dribble isolation drills; whatever he needs to do to create separation and open up his shot. He has great touch with the wingspan and hands.

He'll end up an effortless 20ppg-25ppg scorer at this point.

Ya the dribble moves are the next step in the progression , and I think it will be a much needed addition to his game once defenders get used to his high post moves - the rip through and the step back- not difficult moves to defend necessarily, so I think he'll really need to add more to his game. And I question if he's gunna be able pull off the dribble moves. It is in large part a confidence thing tho. Add a little off the dribble game to where he can pull up for the 3ball, or go to work in the high post - I think he'll look like something like a finesse carmelo

I see them winning 4 maybe 5 games. It's over as far as catching them

The optimist in me sees them winning 6 or 7 max....even then it would be hard for them to catch the Lakers in W's....

I still think the Wolves will pass us up. They are healthy again and staying relatively close against the better teams in the league... plus KG is going to get them playing hard.

I think 8 or 9 of the 23..... I think the whole key will be our 2 games against them. "IF" we split with them, kiss the top 3 spot bye bye.... But if we lose both to them, I think we will be right there with them at 21/22 wins, a real chance at a coin toss....

Next 11-12 games, I see:

Lakers: 3-9

My guess is that with around 12 games left at the 70 game mark:

1. NY
2. 76ers
3. Lakers: 19-51
4. Minny: 19-51
5. Denver: 21-49
6. Orlando: 21-52.

The team that concerns me the most is Denver. They are free falling.

It is as if you can read my mind..... ...... I think this too, the only thing you may have off is that the Nuggets will win one. As you said they are free falling. I wouldn't be surprised if when all is said and done we end up 4th behind the Nuggets who could very well end up in the 3 spot, with Minny at 6, and the magic at 5 right on our heels...

The Nuggets and Magic are in full tilt lose mode....

Bear in mind that in my projections, there's 12 games left. Not sure lakers can get to #3 though.

yup agree. KG has raised the defensive intensity plus the return to form of Rubio and you've got a team that plays with playoff level desire. it's quite refreshing to see actually, their last few games have been high level ones and they're really aiming to win. good for the lakers as well.

It will be tough,but.... If I were a betting man, thankfully I am not, I would bet on a very tight finish at the end with us the Nuggets and Minny. Those 2 games against Minny will be the win or break for that 3 spot, and perhaps the 4th spot.... We let those pesky Nuggets and magic back in the race with that 3 game winning streak. I was all fired up for that 2 spot even, then came the 3 game win streak...... It's a bizzaro world now, a win streak is actually a loss streak these days....

I think so too, the Wolves are going to win games, but.... They are 3 wins back, and I think it will come down to the wire, the key will be our 2 games against them.

Actually the Nuggets and Magic may even be a bigger concern, the Nuggets as Yinoma mentioned in another post are totally free falling, they are scary bad right now....

Nuggets have a lame duck coach, they traded of Mozgov/McGee. Guys are disillusioned and playing for nothing right now. They know Denver will likely trade off half the main players on that team too so there is just nothing to play for at this point. I'm scared of that team.

At least with Orlando, they want to end the season on a better note. Minny is really playing hard, just haven't developed the habits to be a winning team so they're learning on the fly.

AGREED!
Nuggets have been in hyper-tank mode for at least two months and are falling rapidly.

Is Byron Scott coaching two teams?

Flip has always had a crazy fetish for the mid range jumper, even relative to other teams in the late 90s early 00s era.

They are the other team besides us that I noticed who will spot up a big 20 feet from the basket right next to a pick and roll, so that the only result will be the big taking that shot.

Even so, the Wolves get to the basket more than we do.
