He was great and didn't particularly shoot the ball well, those are the type of players that impact games on both ends. 18/9/3stl and played great defense. He's my #3 prospect, definitely will be on the Lakers radar in the top 5.

those were MKG numbers.
He plays nothing like MKG. Stanley can actually shoot and create off the dribble. I would compare him to prime Joe Johnson offensively, Artest defensively.
The most important game of the season so far for Team Tank is coming up next...can't miss this one.
We'll win it:
1) Minne is dreadful
2) Minne is missing two starters. The Lakers only win when at least two starters on the opposing team are out.
3) Minne has one of the lowest 3-PAs in the Association, which plays to the Lakers defensive scheme.

Okafor goes for 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks on 12-14 shooting. Through 6 games, he's shooting 65% from the field. If he keeps it up through conference play, he's the undisputed #1 overall pick. Just so polished in the paint. Not to mention his great hands and ability to finish in transition. It's a thing of beauty to watch him play.

Hopefully...we play Kobe ball all 4 quarters and come out on top

he's so much more athletic than he was in most of his highschool career. also thinner, a less physically imposing base. but, his legs will get stronger, he was all fat until his Sr. year in highschool ; he's still putting muscle on.
One of the most impressive things about his post game, IMO is his sense of timing -- his sense of when the defender is sleeping - that's when he explodes and puts the shot up. Or when the defender is expecting a left handed hook over his right shoulder, he shoots a right handed Shaq hook over his right shoulder.
This element is also why he's so good at the spin move ; he has a MASTERED/SEASONED sense of how to read his defender

Just out of curiousity, can he play the Power Forward position? He'd dominate the PF spot in the NBA plus he wouldn't be under-sized playing PF (in the NBA at 6'11'')

His finger rolls are like Wilts. The basketball looks like a grapefruit in his hands.
He is definitely more athletic than he was in high school. Good to see. He will be the #1 pick.
And if the #1 goes to Philly? With Embiid and Noel? What happens with Okafor/Turner/Towns.........? I can see the Sixers giving the #1 for the #2/3/4 to someone in a package. Do they just move Noel?
Do the lakers trade the #3 let's say along with the Rocket pick for the #1 in your opinions?
funniest scenario wld b lakers getting the 6th-10th pick n then having to send him to phoenix LOL
No. Funniest thing would be the Lakers winning the draft lottery and Dan Gilbert swooping down from the rafters and snatching the winning card and giving it to OKC. _________________ Whenever the Lakers benefit all of a sudden rules need to be changed and trades need to be blocked.

Impressive game. But it was against Furman.
Wonder what Okafor would look like playing against Kentucky.

I am sure he could, but why would you want him to?
In high school, Okafor did look very soft. He looks totally different now and is playing great. I really hope we draft him.
He has a big body, he stays around the basket and if all goes well with Randle, I think they would be GREAT compliments to one another.

To me, he has been the most consistent of the top 5 picks. I don't know about Mudiay so I am basing it on the others (Stanley, Myles & Towns).
Thus far, I think the pick would HAVE to be Okafor, Mudiay or Stanley in that order.

Yes, this game is very concerning. Dare I say the Lakers may actually be favored? That right there tells you this is a Tankapolooza Battle Royale.
