Wow, what a surprise. What do you guys think of Boozer? I love his energy and intensity.

Lebron couldn't even tackle him lol

Besides his defensive side, a good scorer and rebounder. Depending on the price, solid pick up.

he had a negative impact on the bulls offensive efficiency and defensive efficiency whenever he played. he is terrible on defense, and his inefficiency on offense (.489 TS%..terrible!) means his offense can no longer compensate for his defensive liabilities.

on top of his just being a bad player, why in the world would we want another power forward? We have 1 legitimate center in Sacre, and then we have Hill, Davis, Randle, Kelly, and now Boozer at the 4??

Great move by the Lakers. Boozer + Ed Davis + Jordan Hill = Rebounds for days.

Plus Boozer's a solid pick and roll player, and can be semi-consistent operating in the post since the Bulls went to him so many times down the stretch.

Would have thought that the Davis signing made this move somewhat obsolete, but it's great to see the Lakers win something for once.

What to do about hole at SF though...

how long is Boozers contract and how much are we on the hook for? If he has, say, 2 years left, and we waive him after this season, are we responsible for his whole salary or only the portion we bid in the auction process (with chicago picking up the rest)?

Mr Randle might just get his dream to compete against Bronze.

Its not that bad of a pick up for all the whiners out there..

He averaged 13 and 8 last year. Will he be a defensive rock?? Of course no... but i rather throw Boozer out there at C rather than Kelly or Sacre

Carlos Boozer to join Lakers

Boozer was released by the Chicago Bulls earlier this week and teams with cap space could make a bid on a portion of his $16.8 million contract. The Lakers made the highest bid in a blind auction and were awarded him on Thursday shortly after 5 p.m. Boozer averaged 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds for the Bulls last season.

Only nine teams in the league had sufficient salary-cap space to bid for Boozer: Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Milwaukee, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Utah and the Lakers.

Wonder how much we bid.

At least we have some interior scoring now in case Randle needs time to develop.

We just don't much interior defense or perimeter shooting.
