From what I have seen from Boozer... 20/8 for the season is not out of question... he diff looks energized despite some lazy defensive plays down-low which I'm guessing has to do with fatigue more then anything.... I think Boozer is gonna have an all-star season if he brings it every night.
Please...just please. Are you doing this to spite us all?
Name me 15 big-man PF better then Boozer then I will step away...

He's been shooting jumpers over good players through out his NBA career... so not sure why you think Boozer's performance is a fluke.... he's always been a headache for opposition players.
Boozer doesn't get the respect he deserves for some reason. Great pickup for us....I said so since I started this thread when we got him.

i don't get why so many Laker fans are clowning on Carlos.
i wholeheartedly like the guy and hope Laker fans can shower him with support.
i saw Kobe trying over and over to feed Boozer tonight and i liked it. the man responded well to it and fed off Kobe's energy. he can be our number 2 guy, but he needs to gradually learn to play with Kobe and gain confidence in our system.
all we can do as fans is support him and cheer him on.
i'm not a homer by any means, but i like Carlos and want to see him shine in L.A.

Agreed, CB played great last night & even had 6 steals defensively.
He is definitely going to be an asset to the team this season.
I think getting him for the price that we got him for was a sweet deal as was acquiring Big Ed Davis and Jeremy Lin.
Ronnie Price may be a good pick-up too.

I can't believe Jazz fans seriously compared Boozer to Karl Malone at one point. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Prime boozer was a force. Seeing last night's game you should see at least why they compared him a bit. He had a good midrange, can post and drive to the basket.

Prime Boozer will own most of the PFs today.... thankfully he's still in his prime so we should still see some monster games from him.. from time to time.

He's not in his prime.
But we didn't have to pay $17m for him either.
At $3m, I'm fine with him, though I hope he won't take minutes from Randle at the end of the season. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
He's still in his prime... Prime starts at 26 and ends in the mid 30's.... don't get why you think he's not in his prime..
So TMAC in 2009 (30 y.o.), 2010 (31 y.o.) and 2011 (32 y.o.) when he averaged 9, 8, and 5 ppg, was he in his prime?
OR, is everyone's prime subjective?
Boozer's prime passed in Chicago. Again, at $3m, it's a good deal. Ask yourself this, if Boozer is in his "prime," would you be willing to pay him $17m/year? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

So your comparing a healthy/energized boozer to a brokeback player named tmac? that guy was still struggling in houston putting up poor shooting performances.. despite hoisting up solid stat lines... its much more easier to perform at a high level in a length time when your a bigman.

Young Grasshopper, I can do this all day. But here is another one or two.
Jermaine O'Neal (in his PRIME put up 20/10, last was 2006-07).
07 (13/6), 08 (13/5), 09 (13/7), 10 (5/4)...(and so on until dramatically worse stats...). He was 29 in 2007, 30, in 2008...all during his "PRIME."
In 2008 he was 32. KG used to average in his PRIME some ungodly stats.
Prime for most basketball players quickly wane in their early 30s if they're fortunate. You have some standouts like Karl Malone, but even other all time greats like Tim Duncan saw his stats (and minutes) quickly diminish once they hit 32, 33, etc.
I think Boozer's "peak" was 2009-10, when he was 28-29. He's out of his prime, but then again, at $3m, it's a good return.
Again, my question is, would you have paid Boozer $17m for his current production? (and I hope your answer is no). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
KG's numbers dropped because he went from being a first option to a 2nd/3rd option on the Celtics. Not because he couldn't do it.
Not a good comparison yet again.
How about O'Neal? Or Duncan?
My point is that there is no pre-conceived "prime." There's a wide range generally for the male population, but as it relates to basketball, players' primes are relative.
Boozer's to me was in 2008-09. In Chicago his numbers never swelled to his 20/10 days. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
