If Mamba wins this year, how high does his stock soar? I would say above Lebron, KD or Jordan if he wins it all.

First Team

Steve Nash PG Gary Vitti said "Nash is 100 percent healthy, he's not having nerve pain for the first time in a long time."

5 Jordan Clarkson PG 22 6-5 193 Missouri

Shooting Guards
24 Kobe Bryant SG 35 6-6 205 (Starter)

Small Forwards
0 Nick Young SF 29 6-7 210 USC
11 Wes Johnson SF 27 6' 7", 215
7 Xavier Henry SF 23 6' 6", 220 lbs (Starter)

Power Forwards
4 Ryan Kelly PF 23 6-11 230 Duke
30 Julius Randle PF 19 6-9 250 Kentucky
00 Ed Davis PF 25 6-10 225 North Carolina

If that happened with this team, he'd be #2 behind Jordan. Only because Jordan will never be taken out of his #1 spot for any reason.

If he won a ring with THIS team, he would have accomplished something that no other star ever has. Then doing it after a ruptured Achillies? He'd be #1 in the eyes of the world wide audience. ESPN would never instruct the American audience to see him as #1 though, so he'd still languish a bit on these shores.

This is something you don't have to worry about; he's not getting a ring.

If he gets a ring this year, leading this team, coming out of a tough western conference and having to probably beat Lebron at his age, he should be considered the greatest player ever.

And if he doesn't, he shouldn't be considered the greatest player ever?

Anyone who places Kobe below LBJ is a stat geek who doesn't know anything about basketball.

If that passes for logic in your brain, good luck in the future.

There would then be more room for debate. Otherwise, no one could argue that he's not the greatest.

Sometimes having fewer superstars and a good team is what counts.

ESPN disagrees, lol
prime lebron > Current Kobe, therefore, Lebron>>>Kobe
prime Kobe>>> old MJ, but Prime MJ >>>>>>Kobe.

It would depend on how we won the title. Everyone is assuming that we would win because of Kobe. If that is true, then sure, Kobe's standing would go way up. That is hard to imagine, though. For it to really happen, we would probably need someone like Randle to have a season out of Hollywood (think The Natural). If that happened, it's not so clear how it would affect Kobe's standing.
