If Mamba wins this year, how high does his stock soar? I would say above Lebron, KD or Jordan if he wins it all.

If that happened with this team, he'd be #2 behind Jordan. Only because Jordan will never be taken out of his #1 spot for any reason. |

If he won a ring with THIS team, he would have accomplished something that no other star ever has. Then doing it after a ruptured Achillies? He'd be #1 in the eyes of the world wide audience. ESPN would never instruct the American audience to see him as #1 though, so he'd still languish a bit on these shores. _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. This is something you don't have to worry about; he's not getting a ring. |

If he gets a ring this year, leading this team, coming out of a tough western conference and having to probably beat Lebron at his age, he should be considered the greatest player ever. |

Anyone who places Kobe below LBJ is a stat geek who doesn't know anything about basketball. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

If that passes for logic in your brain, good luck in the future. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

There would then be more room for debate. Otherwise, no one could argue that he's not the greatest. |

It would depend on how we won the title. Everyone is assuming that we would win because of Kobe. If that is true, then sure, Kobe's standing would go way up. That is hard to imagine, though. For it to really happen, we would probably need someone like Randle to have a season out of Hollywood (think The Natural). If that happened, it's not so clear how it would affect Kobe's standing. |
