Phoenix was a .585 team last year and didn't make it into the playoffs. I just don't see the Lakers suddenly jumping above that percentage after losing Gasol, Kaman, Farmar, etc.

If we do it's goona be the 8th seed most likely. We need a defensive minded anchor (don't think theres any left in FA) and an athletic wing who can bother the better scorers in the league such as Durant, Melo, Etc.

We're undersized and lacking that second star. To much inconsistent play

My mind tells me that we have no business being in the playoffs and that it would be tough to reach even 41 wins his year, but my heart tells me...

Hell yeah!! And we're gonna make some teams nervous as well! Imagine if we play a fun and exciting brand of ball next year and shock the league next year and make the playoffs. Players are gonna flock to L.A!

If kobe restore to 80+% by the end this year, and willing to play teamball, barring major injuries, Lakers gonna make the playoff, about 48wins.

I voted the Lakers make the playoffs. Playing defense and health are the keys. Last year was the worse, we just gave up too many points per game. Hopefully we've used up our injury quota the last few years, we are due for a year of good health. Lastly the coach. He's gotta have better plan then run and shoot.

It's unreasonable to think the playoffs are in our immediate future. This year will be a success if we find out that we drafted well and our youngsters flourish. It would be even better if the rooks shine AND we find a player amongst our undrafted.

Yes, that best defense is a good offense.
Unfortunately, our offense which was SUPPOSED to be good last year, was CRAP. But then we had a bunch of guys who were playing out of position (bench guys playing starters minutes).

Too many unknowns. Who's the coach? Who's going to get injured? I think our biggest problem will be consistency. With a young team, we're going to blow teams out one game and get our asses kicked by the Bobcats the next night. If I had to put money on it, I'd say NO. We just miss out.
