He's making 700k. What new deal would they be thinking about?

Maybe they need the 700k off the cap space to sign someone and then they want to use the min on Marshall.

Will he clear waivers, he would be a servicable backup PG somewhere. He's too cheap to ignore.

Actual translation:

"Lakers waiving guard Kendall Marshall"
FO: He's just not really that good.

", but have interest in bringing him back on a new deal if he clears waivers, league sources tell Yahoo."
FO: Someone please take him, we don't want to look like a bad guy here.

this confuses me too, Marshall was already earning less than a mil, what do they mean that they want to get him back after he clears waivers.

Xavier Henry just signed a 1 year minimum deal with the Lakers.

So, who will get to wear #7 jersey next year? incumbent Henry or newcomer Lin?

I have a feeling Lin may ask for #7 and Henry will wear another number.

it's a continuation of the Laker's 2014-15 campaign - codename Dazed and Confused.

The guy looked horrible in summer league game yesterday against the 76'ers. I'm not surprised.

PG is overrated on any team with Kobe on it as he'll handle the ball all the time, don't believe the BS that Kobe needs someone take pressure off of him handling the ball, he loves it. as for Marshall, he's only attribute is passing, he can't score, can't shoot, not very athletic. not a big loss imo.

i hope you're right. the nucleus of Bledsoe and Randall should is a good foundation on the master rebuild plan. but i don't think Lakers have any cap space left to offer to Bledsoe.

A move better be on the horizon, because there was no reason to waive him when he's that cheap. You're not gona find a serviceable PG for under a million.

With Nash's health still a question mark, we need someone to take over backup minutes on this team. Even though he's struggling in summer league, you still need him in case Clarkson doesn't pan out

Bledsoe just turned down 4 year 48 mil. i dont think the Lakers can get him no matter what......and I am not sure if I wanna give him anything more than that Phoenix offer....

I know some of you guys are high on Bledsoe but I don't know if he is worth what he is asking for. I mean he turned down 12 mil a year from Phoenix for 4 years. Maybe there's a reason why Phoenix doesn't want to offer the 5th year. I mean it's the Suns, they bring dead people back to life. They must know something about his injury. Bledsoe's only played 240 games out of his young 4 year career. That's not really a good sign for a guy who depends on his athleticism.
