Chokeholds are not allowed by the NYPD for their officers to use. Somebody is going to be in big trouble.

Terrible - The D-Bag cop probably thought he was some superstar UFC fighter in his own mind, and wanted to try out his new move.

That was exactly what went through my mind

Police Chief already is saying the guy died of a heart attack.. Uhmm he was telling them he couldn't breathe for a reason..

That kid who kept videotaping is a hero. If it was one of my family I might have died right there snatching one of their guns out of its holster and drawing it on them

I have twin 5 year old daughters who I will teach Muay Thai and Jui Jitsu when they are mature enough to not throw a punch in anger. I won't be teaching them any choke holds until they are Very mature.

For those guys to go to an attempted choke hold initially was reckless and overall, that was just plain manslaughter.

The Cops' likely rebuttal: He was trying to murder people by selling them cigarettes. Lethal force was necessary.

Not advocating the choke hold by any means but if you truly can't breathe then you can't talk either.

That's LAPD chokehold death part 17. There are precedents to draw from as far as chokeout deaths go. If memory serves me, one of their most notorious incidents involving a rear choke was another really big guy like this.

THEY dont care about undesirables (any black man, what they deem as an unattractive black woman, homeless person of any color, male hispanic(especially if he isnt an english speaker)

^^THIS, especially the last part.

i hope and pray that never happens to anyone i know in front of my face. lord help me. that will be the end of PNP. the moment someone starts saying they cant breath and you have enough people to hold him down while allowing to breath just in case you think he's just bsing around. you should get off the guy. if i that was my family/friend... i would've been shot dead. its that simple.

Yes, but a person who says they can't breath may be experiencing impending respiratory failure. This person clearly was.

The guy was too big for him to put him in a proper subdued position where he could control him if he had LOC. Recipe for disaster. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
