I'm good with GP on the staff.
Just have to get that hiring a head coaching thing out of the way first. Can we just hire all assistants and no head coach?....top 5(lotto) here we come? _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest |

Depends if GP is ready to put in the work. He taught Kobe a lot about defense. Could really help Clarkson and Henry (maybe even Young). Would be a good pickup if he isn't just looking for cheap courtside seats. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

I believe that "the glove" would make an outstanding assistant coach. He knows defense and with his "gift for gab" he will be able to get his ideas across. _________________ .....

He would probably be the worst. Age does terrible things to the athlete's body. |

I loved GP as a player, I have a hard time seeing him as a coach. He was too in your face. A lot of people may have forgotten but he had his own gun in the locker room incident with a teammate in the 90s. His feistiness and hard work made him a good player, but how hard would he push his team? And how would he react to hard headed players? |

If this really happens, I'll be laughing so hard when he gets up to yell.
He'll be like the DMX of coaching. |

Good question. And I forgot about the gun incident. Unfortunately where Gary grew up is a full fledged wild west now. They be packing up there and the tragedies are real, real sad. |

Two posts in a year.
I know this must be important - so GP is trash talker? Hmm anything else we should know? |

Why? He completely tanked it when he was here on the Lakers. Didn't even try defensively because he was pissed about the offense. |

For what it's worth I know GP has worked with Lin in the past and IMHO if he can make Swaggy a better defender that contract would be an even bigger bargain. Between Kobe, Nash, Byron Scott and GP that's a lot of BBIQ should help the guards a lot. |
