Not comparable, CP3 was a superstar pass 1st PG and West was an all star in his prime. Lin is a good player but more of a scoring PG and Boozer is past his prime.

As a Lin fan, I am fearing that this is an overstatement. Lin can still learn and improve, but I don't think he's there...yet, if anytime at all.

I don't think the OP is saying that Lin is on Chris level. He talking about the role and I agree with it. I believe Byron will use those two that way. I believe that Hill and Davis will be used like Tyson and Okafor was.

I am going on a limb here and say that CP3 is overrated. Call it against the grain, think outside the box, etc. Call it what you will. CP3 has earned a reputation as a passing pg and got to all star games etc for it. But let's look at the Clippers record closer. Is that the case? I mean they never really went very far in the playoffs. Also, if anyone can think of any passing team, the Spurs come to mind. Doesn't the Spurs players all seem to be better passers than CP3? Would Greg Pop trade his roster for a maxed out player like CP3? Probably not.

Didn't the Spurs pretty much manhandle the Clippers in the last couple of years in the playoffs, sweeping them without even breaking a sweat?

I mean come on, after watching the Spurs destroy all these teams with modest paid players, you would think that a lot of these players' value would go down such as CP3 and LBJ and Melo.

Bottom line, CP3 is overrated and I think that Lin is underrated.

Easy on the OP.

I don't think he's implying that Lin is going to turn into CP3. He simply stated that the pick-n-roll of Lin-Boozer would as lethal a weapon as CP3 and David West.

Personally, I think if Byron runs picks for Lin Like MDA (is that a dirty word these days?) did in NY, Lin could have a stellar season as our new PG.
