PG: Sessions
SF: Beasley
C: JO

I wouldn't mind Beasley, but I don't think we really need him since I'm happy with X and Wes at SF.

We definitely need more depth at PG, can't rely on old man Nash. I like Clarkson but I don't think he will be ready right away. So need a vet, Mo Williams probably too high of price, so Sessions seems a little more realistic. Though I doubt FO goes after a PG though.

JO is probably the better vet available, but I doubt he will come here since he wants to win. Okafor I just don't know his health level, if healthy I would take him.

I like Beasley but there would be problems over available minutes if he comes. Another pg would be nice but if we don't get one we get to see more clarkson if Nash goes down so that's good

Marion and jermaine would provide could leadership stability and defense. I think if we got both of them and remained healthy we would be 5 seed with a potential to make a run in the playoffs

dream scenario would be trading nash and Houston's pick at deadline for a good player from a losing squad similar to the pau trade.
My top 5
Dallas
Okc
San Antonio
Portland
Lakers

not many roster spots left. the team is likely done. the worst thing you could do is carry 15. limits your maneuverability when an injury comes

You're right we need for depth at point guard. We probably need more at 3 spot also

Need a another PG in case Nash goes down.

I would say Sessions if he's willing to come for the minimum, as he knows Byron Scott's offense and did pretty well in it, but I'm kind of worried it would take too many minutes away from Clarkson.

Hopefully Kane can show something in training camp and become a long time backup for the team.

Guys, don't you know Lakers only have minimum slot left?

Pick a 3rd PG from summer league let's roll with it.

i still think Beasley is really talented.. from a talent stand point, i wish we signed him over Wes and Kelly. no room left now in the frontcourt. we could use another PG tho

What is the status of Brooks and Bazemore? I think they are not Lakers at this point?

And Clarkson is not signed yet either.

With these three, Lakers have 15 players. Without them, 12.

Clarkson and Beaubois, 14 players.
Maybe Okafor as well, 15 players.

I'm loving the Okafor appreciation.

We can only pay the Minimum so that hurts us a lot. Okafor is not a minimum salary player.

I think our frontcourt is set anyway. Unless the FO plan to trade J.Hill during the season, getting another big isn't a priority.

We should just get another point guard. We need to have a solid and sure backup for Lin. We shouldn't rely on Nash at this point and Clarkson is just a rookie.

- Please no Beasley!

- Royce White? Has he overcome his fear of flying? If not.....

- Beaubois could be interesting if healthy. Any thoughts of him from Summer League? Saw he played but not good that I do not remember any impact.

- Clarkson very promising. Interested to see him develop this year.

- IMO Okafor, Sessions, Marion, O'Neal will all sign with contenders.

- Nash is the wild card for me. Can he play 10-15 mpg? Will he be traded? Will he just take up roster/cap space and not contribute. Hard to speculate PG needs until this is answered.

- Ideally, I would go with current frontline rotation. Trade Nash for a quality SF with long term potential and PG becomes Lin, Clarkson and FA or SL player.

Sessions would be a smart move.

Also, I don't want to see Nash wearing the P&G ever again. But no stretch, it just drags the pain on longer. If he could be moved to free up a roster spot, then adding another 3 would be ideal. Marion would be my pick. No Bease, please.

I'd opt for Marion, just because every other position on our team (except C) has a seasoned veteran there to show the youngsters the ropes, and I think both Henry and Johnson need a veteran player to show them the basic of playing proper defense and working outside of practice to improve as a player. I'd take Marion over Beasley for that, because Beasley STILL hasn't gotten his act together.

I like the idea of having a leader/vet at each position. At this point Marion sounds like the best option for us.
