Considering he was a late 2nd round draft pick and then performed like an all-star, I'd have to disagree with your "always been overrated" assessment.

I wonder if Kobe knows the weakness of every player in the league.

I also wonder if there are players that won't work out with him for fear that he'll discover their weaknesses.

That's intimidating.

He probably does. Keep in mind that the dude has been scouting, studying players since he was very young.

Good stuff.

I remember when kobe was at his peak in 2006 or 07 scoring wise. and Gilbert had that 60 pt game and beat LA in LA. Kobe had 45 or something. Kobe was heated after that.

Next time they played in Washington, kobe took it to Gilbert pretty bad. Very entertaining and fun for us laker fans to watch Kobe at his peak.

nice interview by Agent 0... but according to a lot of posters here... a player's mental make up is not important to winning games. LOL

Ummmm, NO.. When he was on top before the injuries, he was a star, one of the best in the league. The only thing that stopped him was that he wasn't a consistent two way player. Gilbert was NOT overrated.

Arenas was definitely not overrated...i think he's just been blacklisted since that gun incident. If older and/or questionable players like Rashard Lewis and Michael Beasley can still get FA deals, no reason Arenas can't either.

ummmmm, YES. He was hyped up to a superstar when he was really not. Had one very good season, but other seasons he just chucked up a lot of 3s. Yet, he never shot better than 38% from 3s and had low fg %, also always had a really bad TO ratio for a PG and wasn't a very good defender. I watched a ton of Wizards games, because I live in the area. So I know Gilbert WAS overrated.

Because the threat to his long term quality of life due to his injuries is too high to bother over a min deal when you're being paid $20m/year to not play.

Gilbert Arenas might have been a knucklehead and an inconsistent defender but, in his heyday, I would have taken him over James Harden without hesitation.

Kobe is probably the hardest working guy on and off the court since MJ. I'd work out with him if he's open and giving with his knowledge. Other than that sorry Kobe, you're only working out with me to steal my powers.

Ya, too bad Agent 0 got injured. Why he messed around with gun anyway in the team locker room? Kind of stupid. But injury can cut short the glorious potentials of the stars or young players with star potential. Look at Roy, Oden, even Penny Hardaway. Who else have I missed? I hope Embiid is not going to be one of that statistics.

Players aren't necessarily drafted lower due to perceived lack of talent (nick van excel comes to mind)

I swear I read somewhere that arenas did poorly at interviews due to his quirkiness or some personality trait that may put off GMs.
