Preferably near or within Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

And no, I rather not buy used girl panties from a vending machine.

Itinerary
======

1. Pay $12 USD to give foot massage to woman in Tokyo cuddle shop. (lakersken80)
2. Go watch a sumo wrestling match at the fish market and bid on the tuna of the day. (DaMuleRules)
3. Go on Japanese gameshow that punishes ignorance to win free dinner at America Town (Reflexx)
4. Ask Kobe to meet me in Japan, spread his legs, and let me eat him out (kray28)

Hardly an expert, but from my visit there I would recommend a couple of things.

- Go to a Sumo match. I don't know if they are seasonal etc., but if you can go to one of the big competitions in Tokyo the pageantry and spectacle is really cool and interesting.

- In Kyoto, go stay at traditional ryokan - a japanese inn in the area at the top of the hill (sorry, I can't remember what the area is called, but it's not hard to find). They aren't "luxurious" by western standards and you sleep on mats on the floor, but if you are at all in exploring different cultures it is a cool way to immerse yourself in what traditional japanese life is like.

- Go to the Tokyo fish market. There are all kinds of crazy "food"items to see live and on display and the auctions for the prized tuna are fun to watch.

- Of course the Ginza shopping district. It makes Times Square look quiet and bland.

I think we may be staying at a ryokan as you suggested. Are those floor mattresses comfy? I heard they suck if you sleep on your sides.

Is this one of those countries where you can pay money to kill a man? I can't recall, I haven't seen a Rick Steves program in a while

They aren't mattresses as much as they are heavy straw matts.

It's definitely a one night only kind of thing. It's all about the experience, not the comfort

Go to Hakone and check out a more traditional Japanese onsen. Also a great place to hopefully get a nice clear view of Mt Fuji from the lake there..

Great 1 day trip from Tokyo, and if you have time, I hear overnight and a full 2 days is better.
