Good thing it was his leg and not his knee right? I remember reading that leg injuries like that recover even though they look brutal. I don't think his career is over.

Not sure if the injuries are the same, but Anderson Silva had that horrific leg injury and is expected to be back fighting this January. About a year after the injury.

I expect Paul to miss the 14-15 season. I just hope he can resume his career at a high level after that.

Horrible, I wish him a speedy recovery. RIP pacers, and an even weaker East this season.

Bone versus ligament is the key distinction. As well as the type of fracture (open vs closed, spiral fracture vs comminuted, etc).

Horrific - the guy shattered his leg in two from what I could see. I hope it doesn't end his career

Co-sign. That's a Terrible injury. Just Terrible. Feel very bad for him.

On a related note, BSPN reports that he was taken to "The Hospital for Special Surgery" in Las Vegas. HSS is considered the best orthopedic hospital and is located in NYC.

Actually, he shattered his leg into at least 4, given that he went through both the fibula and the tibia. But I'm willing to bet that the injury is comminuted, meaning that there will be multiple bony fragments.

My prayers go out to him and his family. USA Basketball should look into those stanchions before resuming any play at the Thomas and Mack Center.

Horrendous looking injury.

Well, at least BSPN's making up for their east coast bias. Just not with anything truthful.

My testicles retracted, no exaggeration.

I hope he can make it back. Thank God he is off his rookie contract.
