Wait, this feels wrong, but I'll say it.

I think I now don't dislike Lebatard as much anymore.

Well done Dan!

I see a billboard thanking Lebron for 2 championships. And that gets you suspended from ESPN?

Thanks Kobe for being the best player. Did ESPN just ban my IP?

If you worked for them they might. ESPN allowed Skip Bayless to dress up in a LeBron uniform and hold a brick over his head for freaks sakes. It's not that they have a problem with poking fun of LeBron, it was that he did it without their consent.

Did he have their consent when he sold his HOF ballot?

It says you're welcome not thanks. To put that billboard up in his hometown is crappy thing to do. If the billboard was saying thanks that would be different. Miami fans should be thanking him without him they wouldn't have the last 2 championships. Wouldn't have the 2nd longest win streak in NBA history.

I know ill get crap for defending Lebron but that is just the way I see it. A two day suspension isn't a huge deal. Plenty of corporations fire people for much less.

ESPN "suspends" him for the message or for his not seeking approval beforehand ? Funny. That billboard's message is doled out daily via ESPN' s own "editorial" broadcasts of their own (PTI, etc.). I guess that means he's off their air for a couple days.

I admire folks who will risk standing up for their rights to express their views (and bear the rather trivial consequences) while employed by powerful employers who apparently demand near control of our public and personal editorial.

The Big Brother narrative but lets look at this from another perspective. How this look from the perspective of improving ESPN brand and exposure. This situation "There is no such thing as bad publicity" ESPN promotes the Dan LeBatard Show, Bill Board create exposure and free press for ESPN and the show (Round 1). ESPN came out to suspend LeBatard creating a second narrative and increasing more exposure for the ESPN brand and the LeBatard show, also inciting even more free press (Round 2). All of this for a price of a Billboard, so for that type of national exposure how much money would ESPN would have to spend on advertisement for a typical audience to see the brand ESPN. ESPN is a for profit entity being a capitalist they just very discretely got a ton of free press and advertisement.

Just another arrogant Miami D-Bag, who thought that every Heat opponent would wither away like nothing.
