|
|
Two days ago Canada played one of the many games they have already played in Europe in preparation for the World Cup. Sacre is the starting center for Canada. He started alongside Olynyk and Corey Joseph. The Lakers center played 13:41. His numbers were 2 pts (1/4 FG; 0/0 FT; 3 reb). Pau played 19:16 and he scored 20 (7/15 FG; 4/4 FT; 8 rebs, 3 asst; 1 blk). At the end of the game they joked around a lot. It sure looked they got along very well. Sacre still needs to learn a lot to produce for the Lakers. Here is a pic. Spain won, by the way.

Yeah, Sacre isn't ready to be more than 10-12 mpg energy player. Just doesn't have the skills yet. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

And Sacre has looked like Sacre whenever he has played. Don't expect either to change much. _________________ We back. |

I was at the venue and, oh, boy, Sacre is limited... I mean, realllllly limited. You feel like, how in hell could this guy make it to the NBA? |

Well, I don´t know how Sacre behaved at the end , but during the first moments of the game, Pau was in good spirits, smiling to Sacre, but the guy hit him twice, and played too tough for a friendly game, like "hey, we´re not friends on the court", leaving Pau clearly confused |

Sacre is a tall man, not a basketball player. Without his height, he has no business in the league. Might as well get that 7 5" guy who went undrafted. |

I don't expect Sacre to score but I do expect Sacre to play hard D and sacrifice his body. Another words take charges and play straight up to alter shots. I was actually impressed how much he improved on D last year |

He is a professional NBA player I am not. Not that big an achievement, even a high schooler will destroy me on the court. His standards are of the NBA not me. |

only because of his height, 7 feet is an imposing height. If he was 6'2" I'd whoop that booty! |

What surprises me is not that he is a basketball player. He is strong as a mule, very tall and agile. Even with almost no skills, that should do it. But there are dozens of better (muuuuuuch better) players who spend their lives in Europe, and I am not even talking about the best european leagues, because Sacre would not start for any team in Spain, and would not play at all for some of them.
But he made it to the NBA. That´s what really puzzles me. |

Yeah exactly. Let's just leaving scoring out because it isn't happening but if he does the rest then that'd be great.
How fun some of y'all got to be at this game. |
