It usually always came out during the 1st week of Aug... why is it being released late this time?
it also seems like we won't be playing on Christmas... there is 3 rumored match-ups that day and the Lakers aren't involved in it. |

We're going to have a top 5 hardest strength of schedule again (4 straight years now?). Guaranteed. _________________ Kobe |

I hope we play the Thunder on opening night... would be cool to win against them and make a statement. |

There's been 5 games on Xmas the last couple years. I would be surprised if we don't play. Might not be a primetime ABC game though. |

Hopefully we open with the Clippers again. Last season's opener with the bench going nuts was amazing. |

I hope majority of road games are in the first 2 months while players are still fresh. |

If the Lakers scramble on defense and hustle and play energized, they can win games.
The problem is that style of play is hard to do for a full season. We saw it at the start of last season, they hustled and scrambled around on defense and were looking like a surprise team. Then they got tired and after that the injury bug hit and they couldn't do anything.
Talent does tend to prevail over the long season, it is hard to play that scrambling, playoff type defense over the 82 game marathon schedule. But that is exactly what the Lakers have to do if they want to have any chance of contending for a playoff spot.
So controlling the minutes and the wear and tear on key players will be huge. I see the Lakers as being a team that can afford to play the projected bench (Lin or Nash, Young, Henry, Davis, Randle, Kelly) quite a bit.
If the Lakers try and "outscore" teams while playing no defense like last season, they are looking at another long year. It is mandatory they play a lot harder and with more cohesion on that end this year and I think replacing Pau inside should help that some. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Not gonna happen. They always have a lot of home games early because of the Grammy trip. _________________ ...in my opinion. |

Could be good for this team to be home early, like it was for the 08 squad. We got a 19-11 record early on and gained a lot of confidence. |

There's been 5 games on Xmas the last couple years. I would be surprised if we don't play. Might not be a primetime ABC game though. |
After last year's ratings for their "Prop-up LeBron, Try to bury Kobe" Christmas game, I wouldn't be surprised if they indeed don't have us on Christmas. It's part of the "storyline". _________________ Whenever the Lakers benefit all of a sudden rules need to be changed and trades need to be blocked.

I predict a Lakers vs Rockets either Opening or Christmas game. |

don't worry, we got Lin. He is currently Xmas Game favourite. It will be Rox vs. Lakers on Xmas day. _________________ JL#7 in Purple and Gold. Shoutout to my Lakers4Life Buddy Ian M. |

It's funny you say that because i'm not at all worried about it. The "storyline" is looking like they want to try re-creating the late 90's Bulls (Cavs) and knowing that makes me okay with not watching or "witnessing" any of it. _________________ Whenever the Lakers benefit all of a sudden rules need to be changed and trades need to be blocked.

....I'd be okay with the "Cleveland Bulls" garbage if they allowed CP3 to happen years ago but they didn't and as a result the league can kiss my ass. _________________ Whenever the Lakers benefit all of a sudden rules need to be changed and trades need to be blocked.

Not sure if this has been out there, but radio in Chicago just said Bulls will host Lakers on Christmas Day. |
