The first time i seen led floors was in the last olympics..truly a breathtaking spectacle to see.
I can totally imagine the NBA implementing it in their all-star weekend one day. Have hot spots on the floor worth different points like in the old school basketball videogames. _________________ Pain is temporary, at the end of pain is success...

The applications are limitless for LED floors and the NBA.
Increased advertising is inevitable for the league. Instead of putting corporation logos on the jerseys put it on the court (via LED).
In the distant future charges (feet outside restricted circle), out of bounds, and travels could be better displayed and officiated with LED floor sensors. It would be a better version of what is used in tennis to show if the ball touched the line or not.
As a Kobe fan I hope he invests in the technology and pushes for its implementation in the NBA. That would be a smart use of his time after retirement. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better”
that is pretty neat, but it seems incredibly distracting for the players no? _________________ "I don’t give a [expletive] what you say. When an actual game is played I'm guessing they would just display a regular court.
more than likely, but I can see a situation where the floor flashes red when the shot clock is getting low or other special situations, like overtime. The opposing team is taking the game winning shot, and they move to strobe mode. _________________ "I don’t give a [expletive] what you say. I wonder if they'd be able to wire up the ball and the players so the floor/arena could keep track of where everyone was at all times. Maybe put something in the players' shoes? Lots of interesting things to do if it could.

I've seen sensors being used with projectors which resulted in very interesting visual experiences. In this case the projectors wouldn't be necessary. I think it can be done.

This is already implemented in Kobe's LED court.
Every player on the court is tracked in real time. _________________ 2008-2010 Finals. 28.9 PTS 6.1 REB 5.4 AST 2.1 STLs

The stats would be incredible. Every stat a player guarding another player. Stats on what played work or breaks down another defense. If it's implemented in NBA, game changer in statistics. _________________ The journey to 17 begins...
