I just found this pic of Nash vacationing. He is slim.

Yeah, but as soon as he got up he pulled his back. He's done.

Steve Nash was always in great shape. It's not the issue.

I really wish Nash gets one last shot at a ring... he deserves it... I hope he plays like an all-star again next year if we don't do the Bledsoe trade.

With the way this league is guard-oriented regardless of what kind of shape you are in you will have to play DEFENSE at that spot or get abused. Can Steve's back stand the test; only time will tell & unfortunately the clock is about to run out. We all know that Father Time is undefeated.

Exactly. Freak nerve injury will wreak havoc on everyone, including Nash, who is always in remarkable shape. Such is the nature of age and injury. Kobe/Nash, I have never doubted their resolve, skills, dedication. Bodies just break down.

He has always been in great shape. That wont stop age from making his nerves act up.

Gingerly... very gingerly. They brought the wheel chair as soon as the picture was snapped.

I hope Nash can play at least 50-60 games this year and finish his career on a positive note. He is a future HOF and one of the greatest PG's to ever play the game.

Kinda like a rare '67 Ferarri with leaky compression rings and a cracked motor mount. And no repair shops that can fix it. But a hellaciously expensive insurance bill. Legendry car. Looks great sitting in the driveway; push it and you'll wish you hadn't.

He's always eaten right and been extremely dedicated to working out. Too bad even fanatic devotion to fitness can't overcome injuries and Father Time.

For a 40 year old male maybe, but as a ball player not...

He really should not be playing, but has 9 million reasons to...

Looks in great shape. Guys around the league are dropping weight for this season. Lets just hope his back holds up after the 82 game grind and postseason if their lucky.

I'm actually worried that if he goes down again, we only have Clarkson to back up Lin. Ideally, we'd have another SG/PG type in our roster (in addition to a big man).

He was in great shape last summer too and then training camp started...... "Steve Nash is 100% healthy and ready to go" - Mitch Kupchak summer 2013

For all the hate Nash gets I have nothing but respect for this man he had a freak incident which ruined the last couple of years of his career. As for him being in shape he has always been like this he has a very good work ethic.
