He could have medically retired and still received that money.

His reasons for playing are not limited to money. There guy loves the game.

He seems to be in great shape for any age, period. His ability to endure 82(+) games has always been the question mark.

I have been saying for months Nash isn't going out like last year.

Look for a big bounceback season from Nash and a contract extension.

If both Nash and Kobe bounce back from their injuries, Lakers will challenge the top teams in the West.

However, I think it is too much to ask.

Karl Malone, at age 36 mvp

Michael Jordan, at age 35 mvp , those two are the oldest players that won mvp's

Nash is 40, and he ain't MJ or KM

Well in the interview with Byron scott. Byron said he spoke with Nash and Nash said he was pain free. Funny how suddenly when Mike D'antoni is gone all the players are injury/pain free and are happy to start playing again lol.

Hey! Possibly not vacationing....just hanging in his neighborhood.

That looks like he in the South Bay... Manhattan Beach or edge of Hermosa.
That would not be vacationing if its the case....looks like PalosVerdes hills in the background.

No doubt Nash stays in great shape.

But the NBA isn't a fitness contest. A large part of it is durability, particularly if you're making that grueling 100+ games march through the NBA Finals.

What Bledsoe trade?

The rumor Nash, Lin, Hill plus Houston 2nd round pick to Phoenix for Bledsoe trade

The one that can't happen until the middle of January 2015.

Can Steve Nash Erase Stigma of Last Two Seasons?

Quote:
Steve Nash will turn 41 in February and has delivered some of the game’s most memorable moments.
The past two seasons won’t determine his ultimate legacy to the game. But he wants to leave more than a question mark behind in Los Angeles.

Will Nash ever be a factor for the Lakers?
Probably not but I sure hope he goes down with both guns blazing!!

Quote:
Six players in NBA history have managed to appear in at least 50 single-season contests after their 40th birthday. Of those six, only three averaged 20-plus minutes per game. Nash is up against that, up against the undefeated time.

He's got a body of a 25 year old that's for sure. I just wonder if giving him minutes will be more a detriment to the development of the younger guards we have on this team.

I still think he's going to be 'overthrown" as starting guard by Lin.
