^also, Howard would have learned the Triangle. Its not that hard for a center. Anyway, if the Buss family were all on board with Phil coming in, that team was much more suited for Phil.

If MDA had a hard time implementing a much simpler P&R offense without training camp and a preseason, and Mike Brown still had a hard time implementing a similar to triangle offense system with a preseason and training camp, you think Phil can actually do it in the middle of the season?

five or 10 games (to account for the Bernie era) into the season isn't the middle of the season. The center position in the triangle is easy. Its the easiest position out of the five for learning the tri. That wouldn't be an issue. I can see other guys like Wes, X, or Nick Young having a tougher time than D12.

It will be tough to overthrone them with Steve Black in Portland.

Tired of forcing my brain to read it as OverTHROW or DEthrone everytime.

MODS need to just send this to the volt and be done with it.

Those guys weren't on the team yet. If they joined the team last year they would have been in training camp, etc.

I remember Ariza and Gasol doing very well immediately in 2008 when they were traded to LA and suddenly had to play. More importantly, most players already knew the triangle and had already played with Phil. Besides Nash nobody had played when D'Antoni. And in the year with Brown coaching, I remember a bunch of players missing parts of the preseason because of injuries.
