The University of Spoiled Children, The University of Stupid Children, Last Bastion of the Incompetent Rich still ring true.

If you want to talk cheating and UCLA, we can always talk about Sam Gilbert.

If you want to play that tired and ridiculous card, then you're gonna have to exclude all of usc's football titles during that same time period since Sam was also known to give the football players stuff.

Fixed for accuracy.

But Carroll has been shy about mentioning that the NCAA found his quiet hiring of an extra coach, a big name from the NFL, was a major violation. The association also said that Carroll did not clear the hire with USC's compliance office, a finding that contradicts what he told The Times last year.

Safety ting testing positive for Steroids

And Matt Barkley deflating footballs

None of these were the so-called reasons for the sanctions. After what they hit SC with, they find worse violations at Penn State and multiple SEC schools and issue nothing but wrist slaps.

Sounds like the cops don't really have anything. The girlfriend in question isn't even alleging any kind of abuse.

I think Brown may be stretching things a bit to make that leap.

Even ESPN is calling $C a clown college:

ESPN is a clown network that no one here takes seriously...but since they have a negative opinion of SC, you'd suddenly like to hear what they have to say?

Indeed. They used to swing off $C's nuts and now even they're seeing the light.

But, but, but, didn't Pete Carroll just win the SuperBowl with the LINK

With over-aggressive DB's who should've gotten PI calls every other play. NFL is calling more penalties now (see the preseason) because teams and officials are noticing Seattle's shady tactics. And then of course, there's this rash of Seahawk players being flagged for performance enhancing drugs...
The ol officials won the SB for them. If it weren't for steroids their players wouldn't have been as good as they were. The ol Pete Carroll wasn't a good coach, he was a cheater.

You don't think any Denver players used PED's? I'm not claiming the do, I'm just saying they may have, it's possible.

I'm going to give credit where I think credit is due. The Seahawks just straight kicked the Broncos asses. Denver looked like a deer caugtht in the headlights. They came in favorites and over confident. Seattle surprised them. They won the game on the opening snap.

Most of all I think Wilson was, is underrated. We'll see this season.

I've stop being surprised by ESPN's east coast sports bias a long time ago. I mean look at where their headquarters are located.

Lighten up on Bristol. My nephew lives there. He's a production manager on Cowherds show. He's moving to FirstTake soon. Said Cari Champion is a fine tall drink of water, Jemele Hill is thick, SAS and Skip are very affable.

I'd take a drink from that glass!
I think sports bias is inherently associated with geographic proximity. Bristol is a good example of that. Even though ESPN attempts to be a national and international sports hub. Their east coast bias comes through their national broadcasting on many levels.

Do you also sense a West Coast bias? The Clippers, Lakers and Dodgers are not doing that great. If you listen to 710fm you'd think that all have a chance to win it all, with the exception of the Lakers lately.

The Angeles don't get that much play. Maybe that's because they're in Anaheim.

Hate to break it to you but pretty much all the sports networks have an east coast bias. ESPN, CBS Sports Network, NBC Sports Network, and Fox Sports 1 all cater to their largest sports audience, which is primarily based on the east coast, since most of the population is there. Only one of those networks FOX Sports 1 is primarily based in the west coast (Los Angeles, CA) and even then they have studios in New York and Charlotte.

UCLA was supposed to blow the crap out of ACC doormat Virginia.....but barely squeaks by.

U$C was supposed to be coming apart at the seams, but instead blows out one of the best Mountain West teams in Fresno State.
