It's still the preseason and optimism abounds. What are three things you are looking forward to from this Lakers team this season?

1. Randle. I think he can grab the mantle as the leader of the Lakers once Kobe retires. He may not be a HOF level player (maybe he can) but I see fearlessness and leadership in the kid. Really looking forward to his growth these next few years.

2. Return of Kobe. I really miss having Kobe on the court. That sense of fearlessness and "we're down 3-0 in the playoffs but we can still win it" attitude. I want Kobe to go out on his own terms and am excited to see the final evolution of Kobe.

3. Linsanity. Kind of nice to have some sizzle (and my daughter loves him so shameless way to bond with Lin/lakers). I think he may be a future fixture as a laker.

Honorable mention. Scott. I don't think he's a brilliant tactician or a brilliant Xs and Os guy. But good to see some Lakers pride restored and roaming the sidelines. MDa and Brown had no clue of this.

In short I think this season will be enjoyable even if we are not favorites to make the playoffs.

1) Return of Kobe
2) Byron Scott's coaching
3) How our new acquisitions in the off season will fit with this team.

1) Randle and J. Hill rebounding, they are both rebounding machines, looking forward to seeing them in the same lineup.

2) Lin, is he going to be able to play the point effectively , I see him as a cross between a 1 and 2 guard, that could be a good thing. If Lin starts with Kobe then Lin and Kobe are both going to split point guard duties, but can Lin be pure point?

3) Hopefully enjoy watching a team that plays both ends of the court with passion. I do not want to ever again hear the Lakers GM say that this team will be fun to watch, because it only plays offense, the MDA team was an embarrassment.

1. Kobe possibly passing MJ on the all-time scoring list.
2. Having a coach who actually cares
3. Nash's last season. Even if he's a shell of himself at this point, he's still had a great career and will be remembered as one of the great PGs.

40 million dollars

:yinoma:

As for actually answering the question:

1. Randle/Clarkson- Genuinely looking forward to see these kids play and hope they pan out for us.

2. Kobe- As a pathetic Kobe stan I want to see the man come back.

3. The whole team- I just want to see a team actually win a few games. If we end the season at .500, that's good enough for me.

1. The return of Kobe. Even if he'll never play at a high level again, we'll at least have his leadership and intangibles back, which was what we really missed from him last season.

2. Randle. There's at least the opportunity for him to become an All-Star level player within the next 2 yrs, which would speed up this rebuild.

3. Byron Scott. Not since Phil have we had a coach who understood what it meant to be a Laker and to build a winning culture.

The team playing defense. Never seeing 141+ points scored against ever again, please!

The Rockets underachieving.

Something I'm looking forward to is Jordan Clarkson. I don't see Nash playing 82 games, I don't even see Lin playing 82. Clarkson will get tons of PT and I honestly think he will be a steal.

I'm excited for the trade deadline... If we can maintain a solid record and we never know who will be on the block. Maybe we can add another star with all the expiring contracts we have.

I'm just excited for basketball in general. Kobe and Rose return my 2 favorite players

1. Reestablishing the Laker brand under the Buss family.
2. Spear-heading that brand with the young talent; passing the torch.
3. Seeing Kobe lit up, laying it all out on the floor.
