Every team needs an Artest keep other teams in check. Can Boozer be that guy? Not sure.

Artest became too "domesticated" as a Laker.

He was trying to prove he was not a hoodlum and the League was keeping such a close eye on him that he didn't want to step out of line.

His wack on Harden was worth it to me....

Spurs didn't have an enforcer last season and did just fine.

Bruce Bowen was in the crowd giving players the evil eye....

And kicking them in the face as they walked through their tunnel back to the locker room.

This is 80's/90's thinking. Enforcers don't exist anymore.

I'd take a skilled player over an enforcer any day.
Unless that enforcer was a skilled KG!

You get a flagrant 1 for breathing on someone menacingly these days. KG probably gets away with the most garbage, but he's also a star.

OK.. So keeping score we need..

An enforcer
A rim protector
A perimeter lock down defender

The Lakers are asleep at the wheel. They just need to pluck these players who are readily available and fix our problems.

Ugh. Jimbo.

What we need is a healthy Kobe.

And training camp to start.

We don't need an enforcer, who would they enforce against?

For the lakers to compete, I think Jordan Hill and Sacre has to be the guys. Boozer will have a chip on his shoulder after being cut by Chi. Davis has the length and can jump, but needs to bulk up some. Randle is fast and strong, he has a great motor. Scott needs to instill in all of them, "No easy buckets!"

He was taking shots at players all the time, he was always looking for a face to plant his elbow into. If not for the huge fan appeal he gained once he became a Laker, he might have been kicked out for good for some of the stuff he did here.

Most of the Lakers great teams had class from top to bottom. It's proof that you don't have to be a jerk to be good.

fail

last thing we need is some clown who has no business being in the league getting the team into the penalty with 8 minutes left in the quarter because he thinks its beneficial for him to come in and start hacking away

only thing i want to see him do is defensive rebound and set solid screens

Boozer once knocked Bosh down with the breeze coming off of his elbow swing. There was a one second delay to it, too.
