The new Bench Mob will possibly consist of Jeremy Lin, Swaggy P, Ed Davis, Julius Randle, J. Clarkson, R. Sacre, Xman, etal.
How will the new bench mob perform is anybody's guess?
I'm excited to see how they mesh together and perform as a unit!

Training camp is still weeks away and with a 13 man roster, there is still room for one or two additional players.
Scott will be acclimating his squad to new offensive and defensive, as well as getting a better idea of substitution patterns.
As the season progresses we'll get a better idea of their personalities and what they bring to the table. That will give us a better idea of what type of nickname to call them.
its almost a given, that our role players will get PLENTY of playing time.

Further, the remaining players actually form a very interesting bench group:
PG: Jeremy Lin
SG: Nick Young
SF: Xavier Henry
PF: Julius Randle
C: Ed Davis
Looking at that group, they all share some common traits most notably youth and athleticism.
All are more likely to thrive in a more open court game and will be able to change ends well with an ability maximize their athleticism by attempting to get easy baskets.
Things will get more interesting in the half court where Lin, Young, Henry, and Randle all project to do their best work with the ball in their hands,
but that’s where coaching and execution of the scheme will come into play.
If channeled well and operating on the same page, this group should still be able to move the ball and play an attack style against set defenses.
Quotes from BENCH MOB member ED DAVIS to Mike Trudell:
Quote:
Ed Davis said he aims to rely on being a defense presence and trying to protect the rim every night, whether by blocking or just altering shots, which allows him to play either the four or the five on defense.
He thinks less about his offense, simply taking what comes to him on that end, but he's done so efficiently throughout his career as a 54.2 percent shooter.
Davis does feel that he's grown in his four-year NBA career.
"The past four years, I got a lot stronger and grew a lot mentally understanding the game because it is a big league going from college to the pros," he explained. "I’m going to keep working every day and continue to build my game and get better."
Jeremy Lin, Julius Randle, Kobe Bryant, Xavier Henry, Byron Scott
Quote:
Nash starting over Lin would likely be the biggest surprise, as more people believed that Boozer could start over Randle.
Nick Young will likely be the sixth man, with Randle the first big man off the bench.
I hate this bench and starters status and special names thing. It is one team, they better act and play like one team. I don't care who starts the game or finishes or plays how many minutes. I care about a winning team.
its almost a given, that our role players will get PLENTY of playing time.

Posters always overrating our bench just like last year.....Please come back to reality....good day
We were the 2nd best bench in the league last year on less minutes played than the San Antonio bench and were the number 1 bench before all the injuries that caused some of our bench players to have to start.
That's not overrated, that's factual. Please do your research and come back to the reality that the Lakers had a good bench last year and anything positive isn't exaggerated.
Bragging about good bench is like bragging about how your restaurant serves the best side dishes (but main entrees are meh). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

LOL Are you talking about points scored that makes you think we had the best bench???
If thats the case the Lakers had the 11th most points scored so does that make them the best 11 in the whole NBA....yet they could not make it to the playoffs and had less then 30 wins and were in last place in the division???
