Would love to see Kobe, Lin, Boozer, Nash, Hill (who knows what club he's at right now) some of the "vets" also there too. But training camp is around the corner so I guess the young bucks are just getting their reps in. (Swaggy has been there, right?)

Yup! Swaggy was playing in this scrimmage

That's Daddy Swaggy to you, son.

oh yeah sorry lol

Good to see some of the team out there mixing it up. I believe they know that the odds are stacked against them and it makes all of the sense in the world to work as hard as possible. Hard work pays off!
Golden State, Clippers, Lakers, Suns and Kings hold down the Pacific division where the Lakers if they stay focused could come in third who knows maybe even second.
Overall in the West the Lakers will have to beat out the bottom feeders who have gotten better, but may lack the experience they need to make the playoffs.
Utah, Sacramento, New Orleans, Denver, Minnesota, Phoenix and we could look to beat out Dallas for an 8th spot if possible. I actually expect GS to slip a little with Kerr as the Coach, I seriously doubt he gets them over the hump.
As it stands with Scott's penned lineup of:
Nash+Kobe+Johnson+Boozer+Hill
gives us adequate veterans and roll players to make it happen, but we are a small team compared to the rest of the Western Conference.
Great strides will have to be made in order to compete at a high level, getting and staying in the gym is a huge key to that success.

Thanks. I could never get that Lakers website to work for me.

Clarkson always looks like he plays with a paciencia chip on his shoulder. Can't wait for him and Randle.

for real. he's on the lower end of the elite class of 6'4" leapers, IMO at least.
(btw, he's more 6'4" legitimately than 6'5". most players gain 1.25" - 1.5" in height from their shoes while being measured - Clarkson gained 1.75" from his shoes. he's 6'3.25" without shoes.) just saying.

At pg clarkson has elite size and length, and at sg he has elite speed and quickness. His first step isn't as fast as you would like but it's still pretty good. He needs to work on not using that off hand so much and he's golden.

Clarkson reminds me of Devin Harris (though he was much more athletic). If he could turn out to be as good as he was, that's a steal.

Looking forward to preseason to see what these guys look like. The lakers are really low key right now no buzz about our team whatsoever, I'm not really used to this.

There's a reason xavier henry is not in the scrimmage link aboved. He is still recovering from his hand injury. Clarkson is looking like he will steal those 2nd unit minutes away from him.

Definitely in appearance.

In skill ... Devin was lightning fast at the NBA level. Clarkson isn't nearly that fast but he does have more shifty jukes in small spaces and as someone pointed out ... he has the attack-minded chip on his shoulder to get up in people that makes fringe players solid and solid players very, very good.

Like the kid a LOT.

A few more highlights from the scrimmage centered around Jordan Hill...says he has been working on his jumper...no word on if repetitions reached 1000 a day...

Many comparisons of J-Randle to Z-bo or LO, but I still see a smoother/slightly taller Anthony Mason, with a more fluid jumpshot. Mason played both the 3 and 4 for NY and was really effective at taking advantage of his ball handling skills against slower bigs or posting up smaller/less athletic bigs. Anthony Mason probably passed the ball better and J-Randle's upside is much bigger.

Exactly!

I think the next episode will have free agent signings/trades with Line/Boozer/Davis. I'm hoping it'll have some scrimmage stuff but they might stretch it out over two episodes

It seems Kobe hit a game winner in the scrimmage based on this interview.
