Scapegoats? Assuming everyone was healthy?

1. Jim Buss (3 coaches since Phil, etc., roster construction).
2. Scott (he's the coach).
3. Probably less so with players.

Jimbo is the singular and undeniable reason that things are the way they are.

I'm not getting into that, but my guesses were of what the public perception would be. And to his credit, Jim Buss has put the rebuild on his shoulders by saying he was giving himself 3 years to get it done. But 3 coaches and the current roster would be his handiwork.

Boozer will be the scapegoat, because think about it...

He'll get a ton of minutes... When he sucks... all of us will collectively say, "Why don't they just flipping play Randle more, it's better than Boozer tonight".

Nash will get hurt too quickly to be a scapegoat, but he might also have a dynamic of starting over a player, we'd prefer to watch on TV.

Lin. He'll pick up right where he left off with Houston's shallow fan base. If you can't dunk, you suck...

I'm blaming any misfortunes we have on Steve Nash and Mike Antoni.

I'll put Jimbo/Kupcake/Nash in the doghouse if this team is sniffing a late lottery pick this season.

Actually we don't. But we do take hostile, juvenile troublemakers who have vastly overestimated views of their opinions, contributions, and behavior patterns a bit more seriously than other things. Especially when they turn their sights on baiting the mods. Forewarned is forearmed my friend.

Fair enough. My opinion is that the levity is nice, especially since the topic is pretty lightweight and divisive (who is going to catch the hate of the fans this year?) in and of itself (but not out of bounds). Were you expecting a deep and fascinating discussion of why each fan thinks more fans hate this guy or that guy? With some over/under stats, and maybe some advanced metrics? Or were you really just hoping for a serious consideration of whom to hate on this year?

I don't get why you're so miffed, other than, like I said, taking it and/or yourself too seriously.

It depends. Ultimately it comes down to the players and the coaches working together.

So if players are performing very well but not getting the minutes they deserve its on Scott. If players are inconsistent to no end that they can't compotently be given a consistent role that's on the player.

I think it's going to be Boozer. Anytime he plays like crap it will be "why isn't Randle in the game!" at which point the ire will be redirected at Byron.
