Don't know if there is a thread or not, if so please feel free to merge.
Does anyone know who is on the training camp roster?
I heard Alonzo Gee is getting an invite, he seems somewhat redundant to X if you ask me, but who else are the Lakers planning on bringing to camp?
Have any Bigs been invited? I would like to see Beasley in our camp, I can't why we wouldn't want to pick him up, if he's available we should get him.

RealGM has a Laker training camp roster. It is the 13 signed Lakers plus Keith Appling and Roscoe Smith. I was watching the latest Lakers video on Clarkson and there was a player with "Ross" on the back of his jersey scrimmaging with the Lakers. I would guess he is LaQuinton Ross off of the Lakers summer league team. You can go to 1:42 of that video and try to identify the players there. I think it is Ed Davis on the left and there are two other players facing the camera I don't recognize. I would expect them to get camp invites.

X is likely to miss training camp. No one knows how he will play after he is fully recovered. Having Gee as a plan B seems like a wise idea.

I think he wants more than what the Lakers are willing to offer. No one seems too interested in him, with the Spurs being the only other team that I have heard that has given him a workout. Beasley may eventually accept that what the Lakers are offering is the best he is going to get.

As far as Alonzo Gee, due to his past association with Coach Scott in Cavs, I am not surprise he'll in training camp!

Even Sam Amico said in Twitter,

Don't be surprised if Alonzo Gee ends up in camp with Lakers. Byron Scott a fan during their time with Cavs.

Isn't Gee still under contract with the Kings?

The speculation was he would be cut after he was traded but so far the Kings have not done it yet. Gee would be a nice addition. Not a big impact player but a solid professional that would help the Lakers.

I hope he's given a shot and not just sent to the d league cause he's a rookie. Honestly it's such a waste of time playing Nash. I wish Lin was starting and Clarkson was the backup.

In his laker interview Wayne Ellington said that Scott plays whoever is working the hardest and playing the game the right way. That was a major reason why he is excited to be here. As long as Clarkson keeps playing the way he's playing he will be fine.

I'm going to be patient with both Randall and Clarkston's development; however, Clarkston has some potential as highlighted in that video...athletic, made a couple of nice passes, and he showed he has an improving jumps-shot during Summer league. So far so good from what I've seen...we'll see how that translates in real NBA games.

Patience is definitely necessary, but there is cause to be excited about these rookies. They are arguable the two best prospects we have drafted since fish, and Kobe. I think they are slightly better than Bynum/ turiaf but that remains to be seen.

We've two good ones on our hands.
Kudos to Mitch on getting Randle. Extra kudos for doing his homework and practically stealing Clarkson..

You guys, I know he's way end of the bench at best, camp fodder, longshot etc etc - but am I nuts? Jeremy Tyler can play. Look at this highlight reel from last year's Knicks - more good stuff here than Sacre's entire LAL career. Just saying. Thanks for starting a training camp thread.

Nope. I want him as an invite too.

Because he is! The future of 2014/15 season. I'm expecting a break out first year from him!

From those highlights, it looks like he has some skills+size - and he plays with energy.

I don't know too much about him - anyone know his weaknesses?? What's the scouting report on him?

Does it matter? We don't have any roster spot open, do we?
