Sliding to first is so stupid.

These guys are desperate to get on base to score runs so really not a surprise...it is game 7 afterall.

The injury factor aside, I'm more talking about the fact that sliding to first only slows them down. He probably would've been safe if he had just ran through 1st.

Good god. It's like a repeat of the 2nd inning. Hope they can limit the damage here

They did, but it was a purely panic move by Yost bringing in Herrerra so early in the game. I have a feeling it will end up biting the Royals in the arse.

Advantage San Francisco right now

Bum, working with a 1-run lead, coming in to pitch (5th inning). Not looking good for KC - SF might ride him all the way to the 9th.

Bumgrabber not looking so far. Just started but, already gave up a hit and 2 pitches in the dirt.

Damn, Bum is reminding me what the Bulldog did in '88. Single-handedly willing his team to a WS win.

This 1 run lead is beginning to look insurmountable. You kinda get the feeling that all the air is outta the stadium..

And there's Sandoval.. Giants are taking over the game completely. KC looks nearly done.

Mad Baum is simply one of the most incredible post season pitchers in history. Wow.... Completely shut down KC and the crowd.

Congrats to Giants fans. Their team plays with a lot of balls. Hope the Dodgers can get the players/coaches who will be able to do the same, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Can the Royals pull off what they did in the first playoff game again in the last? The most improbable of comebacks. I got a little hope especially since Bum is possibly starting to fatigue.

You can pretty much give Bumgarner 3 W's in the World Series if he wins tonight...MVP of the World Series.
