Randle was out of gas, I think training camp has taken its toll on him, hopefully Scott gives them a break soon so he can get his wind back.

I think it's the other way around. He needs to keep conditioning and get the stamina of an NBA player.

It's not like the rest of the team ran outta gas.

but he is a rookie, can't compare him to the rest of the guys. I don't want Randle to break down or hit the rookie wall

After reading LG, I have come to the conclusion that Kobe is not elevating enough on his fadeaways because the sky is falling.

really? can't make an observation?lol. i also said he looks to be 85% of what he was and i think he can still be a #1 option on a contending team. im excited about what the Lakers can do in the next couple years, with this version of Kobe.

It's only pre-season after all Kobe will keep getting better and better as the season goes on. I expect around all-star break to see flashbacks of vintage 2012-2013 Kobe.

Kobe looked good today, not as good as 2012 but still can be a 23 ppg player. A few things stood out to me after the game.

1. The defensive intensity was great, everyone played hard on that end.

2. We're going to get out rebounded a lot this year, were small at every position. This team needs a C, the front office will go after Marc or Jordan in FA.

3. Randle should be starting over Boozer, he's a better player.

4. The PG of the future is not on the roster. Lin and Clarkson are good complementary players off the bench but aren't good enough to be starters. Not many options at the PG position with Dragic resigning, Rondo is still at the top of my list.

I'm super worried about the defense of the first unit though. The first unit moves so slow. If we can get that problem fixed, I have no problem seeing 45+ wins for the Lakers this season

We out-rebounded our opponent in the game.

We've played a single pre-season game and you've already decided both our brand new PG's aren't good enough?

Rondo is not a good fit next to Kobe unless he has developed a shooting touch from behind the arc and the free throw line

Really liked that first pre season game. We look like we'll be more than ready comes the first game of the season.

Randle, Davis, Clarkson... Looking good.

Impressed by Nash really. He was great for 20 minutes. I'am still not convinced he can stay healthy but we will see. He could be a great addition to the roster. Ideally I'd like him off the bench.

Kobe was the Kobe I thought he would be.

a little too early to be predicting too much, after all this IS the first game of pre season.

Lin probably was nervous about shooting, but his passing and probing was excellent.

not feeling clarkson as pg = chucks too much but i like when he is off the ball with Lin.

Ed davis is BEAST and so is Randle. Glad to see kobe beasting and nash looks pretty good out there.

I ilke Wayne's decision making, takes really good shots unlike clarkson.

My only negative is that they seemed to get scored on rather easily - need to work on defense.

Also JHill looked good.

wasn't sure about boozer lol he didn't have chances to do much but he did make his open jumpers for most part.

I didn't watch the whole game and am a bit disappointed to see 1 pt even with the great assist numbers (10)

But only 6 field goals attempted? Is Lin going back to the pure point guard in the 80's and 90's?

It's a preseason game. Right now a lot of his role is to help figure out the strengths of the other guys.

Thanks for pointing it out. As a Lin fan, although I'm happy for the win, I still want to see more of him in action.

Any clips of the game, preferably with Lin??

Would people rather see Lin score 15-16PPG or have assist domination games with good defense? i for one thinks the latter would help the team more.

We need both honestly. We need lin to be a 15-16 ppg scorer while averaging around 6-8 assists. If we have one with the other it will not make the team as good as it can be plus if lin wants to be considered in the top 10 of pg's then he needs to be able to score in that range.

It depends on the game situation I guess. Any NBA team, if they are determined to stop you from scoring, they can. The right thing to do is take what the defense gives you.

Lin's drives to the basket is likely what the team needs most because it is his strength and what the team lacks last season. Whether he scores or dishes on those drives is not important.

Awesome, thanks. He's really acting as a commander on the court, and that's a good start, very different from the Rocket's usage.

Rivershow... I agree... that we need him to bring his full arsenal... like It's been mentioned... it was the first preseason game.. a lot of players were getting a feel with each other..... I think Lin is at his best when the lights are on.... I think he's saving his best for the regular season.

Someone posted the same thing, but thanks! Still hope to see some more scoring from him, though I doubt if he has many chances with Kobe and Nash both healthy.

Ed davis. 12 minutes. 4 blocks. 6-7 fg's. 12 points.

He's our starter. Not Sacre.
