384 pages on Lin are just because multiple threads have been merged onto this one, right?

Hey man, have some appreciation and respect. Moderators keep this board simultaneously vibrant and sane. It can't be an easy balancing act for them.

Actually, I meant this as a sign of respect to the moderators. What I found funny was that as soon somebody tried to stir something up BOOM they're busted. I have an image of a hawk descending from the sky and catching its prey.

Incorrect, Linsanity was really a good solid 2 full months of back2back2backs (lockout shortened season) 4-5 games a week on average with little rest. Where he ignited a team without the max players consistently available and got a lot of global interest from non-basketball fans as well as people from all backgrounds, from australian colonels in the military to old senior citizens in orange county, to people in France, to name a few examples.

He draws a whole different spectrum of people.

Yes, he's been inconsistent this season. You also have to acknowledge the inconsistent roster, and the inconsistent lineup. Everyone knows the Lakers roster was poor to begin with and that it takes time for any new roster to gel.

I'm looking forward to an exciting finish to the season and just taking the enjoyment of the Lakers - game by game.

PS ChefLinda and all the moderators - you people rock!

Heading into today's game against Charlotte...

Quote:
Jeremy Lin has averaged 17.0 points in his last five games. Since the Hornets acquired point guard Mo Williams from Minnesota, he has averaged 23.4 points on 42.2% shooting from three-point range in five games. Despite their losing record, the Hornets are in the hunt for the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

This spectrum you described sounds like the same "spectrum" of people who are already NBA/Lakers fans. Please explain the "different" part.

I bash Manny fans with glee but imagine if Lin was as accomplished as Manny's left testicle? The worship would be next-level.

TWC SportsNet interview... Dave Miller says the ball isn't as sticky now (since ASG) and the Lakers are developing a defensive identity. Serena Winters reports that Scott feels Lin is reacting much better.

Here's a quote from Scott on starting Lin (apologies if this was posted earlier).

Quote:
"I still plan on starting him sometime before the season's over," said Scott, whose team Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. will play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder (35-27). "I don't know if it's going to be next week or the week after. But I like the way he's playing right now.

"I like the three-guard rotation we have with him and Wayne (Ellington) and JC (Jordan Clarkson). They all seem to be playing very effectively at certain points and times in games."

This is from a San Jose Mercury News article, link here.

Jlin continues his stretch 23/8 56%fg. The kid really strives on PnR its like he's a totally different player prior to the ASB.

Heres hoping he does well tomorrow vs Miami as historically hes been bad on B2B games.

But really good game today had more turnovers than I'd like but overall good game.

Boozer is not a good decision-maker and Lin is not a Iso-heavy player so that's why that offense fell miserably.

Even athletic like Clarkson needs picks though...
