Mitch talking about "we can contend if we can stay healthy" and half the team is injured by the end of the first pre-season game. Good luck with that Mitch.

I don't think this thread is necessary until we hear from the x-rays tomorrow. I personally think he looks ok.

No. It was just a strain. Probably sit out the next couple preseason games as precaution.

Actually he does not suck. He's a great defensive player and his shot looks improved as well.

No offense but did you watch the game? Wes played great defense and scored the ball. He is a very necessary part of this team if the lakers want to play any semblance of defense with the first unit.

He played a few more minutes after 'injuring' it, looked fine.

You're assuming that Wesley has the pain resistance of a Kobe. I don't know another player that does.

True. That's one thing I really wish our training staff would stop allowing to happen. If a player is injured, however small, especially in preseason, don't let him "run it off," unless you're sure it's nothing serious.

Based on his reaction to the play where he injured it, and the minutes he played after, I do agree with the poster in that it didn't look like he was really that injured. Probably more precautionary than usual considering our luck with injuries.

Kobe actually dropped to the floor and grabbed his knee. Wesley was just rubbing it lightly as he ran back and forth.

You obviously weren't paying attention then or you don't know basketball.

4/6 fg with 2 steals are not scrub numbers. Wes is a role player and he played his role well including defense.
