Yes Wes can be our 3 and D guy in the form of those 3 and D guys that the Spurs always seem to have in abundance. _________________ #mamba4ever! |

Well I'm glad the Lakers didn't listen to me. I was advocating signing Beasley to a non-guaranteed deal for the minimum, like he received from Memphis and now we find out Beasley left Memphis and signed with a Chinese team owned by Yao Ming. He would have done the same thing to the Lakers.
The guy is seriously messed up. I'm sure his agent wasn't sure he would make the Memphis team so he probably told Beasley to sign the guaranteed $ deal from Yao's team. |

Messed up? He might have actually been thinking quite soberly here. Gets more money (likely), a guaranteed contract, and gets out of the limelight as being the former #2 selected failure. Some guys aren't built for it and Beez, he's not built for it. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

IMO Beasley doesn't have enough confidence that he can sustain being a good guy in the NBA, not getting in trouble, producing and basically proving himself. He prefers getting guaranteed $ and if he screws up, oh well, I still got paid. Definitely not the type of teammate you want or can depend on. |

I guess good for him $ wise, but agree about his confidence.
Anyways, Wes > Beez. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Wes could really be an effective role player and a defensive stalwart for this team ... Kobe really outlined his role for him well ... but the guy could be much more if he just didn't have those periods where he just seems to drift.
Byron mentioned something about getting him the ball more after last game so maybe a joint effort between coach and Kobe can keep those drifts down to a minimum. Sure would benefit the squad immensely. _________________ We back. |

I think what's pretty clear about Wes is that he's an ideal 3/D guy on a good established team with defined roles. Without that, he's adrift and not really capable of creating enough offense. With hopefully a healthy Kobe, I think we'll see a better and focused Wes who doesn't have do things outside his comfort zone. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

No question Wes is a good fit for what Byron wants from the SF spot. He can spot up, run the floor and is a decent defender, not great but certainly above average. |

Any Wesley Johnson sightings in last night's game? He's in mid season form disappearing after a decent game. |

Wes is nursing a slight strain; but he was a non-factor last night. Should not have played. |

I think Coach Scott should tell Wes that he wants to see him take 7-10 shots a game. Just so that he doesn't disappear on the offensive end. |

Man did you people who are calling him a scrub watch the game? Wes was good. |
They stopped watching the Lakers ever since last season. |
He's just a Cavs bandwagon fan in disguise pay no attention. |
