If we had a decent backup C, say instead of Booz; it would be interesting to run Davis with Hill in the 1st unit. Then we have Randle and that backup in the second unit with Kelly there to cough up some 3's when needed...
Ok, that's not what we have....lol; I'm back... |

Hill is the worst one out of the 4 which is surprising. He gave up alchohol to play the exact same way?
He is not better than Ed Davis that is for sure. _________________ Go LA! |

I dont know what you are talking about. Hill is a stud and only plays badly because mda hates him and messes with his minutes... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

I've never been Hill's biggest fan. He needs a outside shooting touch and to be a better defensive rebounder to get my full support. His post defense is horrendous too. I remember in that 0-8 preseason Kanter as a rookie was murdering him. _________________

Hill has developed an outside touch this year. He hit like three midrange shots today. It's just that as an inside presence, Hill is average especially against good sized centers. He is also not a good defensive presence in the post at all. He can barely block shots and he doesn't alter any really. He needs to be going up against second unit players primarily. |

We need to just switch Davis and Hill already. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals. |

After today's game I think we should keep davis on the bench with randle. They have great chemistry and I think they should always be on the court together. |

Randle needs playing time to hone his skills, right now Randle has the most potential on this team. I hope that Scott lets Randle work through his youthful mistakes because he is a star in waiting. By letting Randle work out the kinks in his game now will help the team in the long run.
Right now Randle is the future star. _________________ .....

Starters should be Davis/Boozer. That gives us better size and rim protection with Davis in the back. Hill is a horrible decision maker with the ball, it seems every time he tries to pass it's turnover. |

Scott finished the last game with randle and davis. Wonder if that means anything. |

So... Ed Davis is playing extremely well.
His per/36 minute stats for the pre-season are fantastic:
17ppg on 79% shooting to go with 8.5rb and 4blks. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals.

problem is he's not a 36mpg type of player. More effective IMO at around 25mpg. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Him and Hill are a good pair, imo. Neither worth a damn playing starter minutes, but both deliver tremendous impact in spurts. Let them combine for about 44 a game - let Sacre spell the rest, if needed. |

I'd like to see him be given the chance to get those kind of minute before writing him off as just a backup. He's playing like a guy who knows that he's got a great opportunity here. He's 25, and this is his first real chance to seize starters minutes. |

I'm thinking 25mpg or so right now.
I just worry that if he's thrown out there for 30+ minutes, teams will game plan him better and he may have diminished production which could hurt his confidence. I would be amenable to incremental time increases based on his production however. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

blah blah blah blah... there will be times when we need the Boozer/Hill combo or the Randle/Davis combo. Lets just be happy we have both, how many teams can say that? it's all about match ups. If takes advantage of match up both combination of players will shine. _________________ New Beginings |

kobe wont be the defender he used to be (heck he hasnt been amazing defensively for some time now). Having some energy from the big guys can help a lot defensively. |
