Jeremy Lin sprained his left ankle at the end of practice. Will be evaluated again tomorrow.

OMG I can't take this anymore. This is getting (bleep) ridiculous. How about we just forfeit the season while we're at it?

So no Lin, no Clarkson, and not much Nash....this is gonna be a tough game tomorrow. The Lakers need like 20 pgs just to get through the season's injuries.

Would they possibly let Randle play some point forward with the second unit?

All I can remember is meniscus tear on his right knee in NY, which required surgery. then chest bruise in first post season with Rockets. and back problems during regular season last year.

seemed to bounce back pretty well from injury in general.

want to hear details... could end up being not a big deal. there were a few times last year he tweaked something in practice and might take a day off, but he would almost always play the next game

hope u predict it right man that it's not a major injury and that he will be back for the season opener.

We may have to set our sights to the 2015 draft with the way injuries are hitting us.

It's the curse of that unfortunate tragic event of that child falling to his death when he somehow fell over the railing at staples.

A poster listed all the crazy stuff that has happened to the lakers since then.

TBH though, every team has had injuries this preseason. Just hope we get them out of the way before these games really count.

Sprained ankles are usually not a big deal... Lin doesn't have much to prove in midseason anyhow. Neither does Young for that matter. More of an issue for Clarkson who' s an unproven rookie.

This training staff needs to get fired.

Different players same results. Whatever weight training program they have these guys in, it isn't working.

I'm hoping that it's not one of those "sprain" things that turn out to be something more serious, like what happened with the thumb sprain with Swaggy that ended up being a ligament tear.

Even if not more serious, ankle injuries can linger for a long time, because you're never really off your foot when you play basketball.

I'm not liking the sound of the latest tweet.

Quote:
Mike Bresnahan ‏@Mike_Bresnahan

Uh-oh. Sacre is the guilty party. He stepped on Lin's ankle during scrimmage. Lin's in a lot of pain, Byron Scott said.

https://twitter.com/Mike_Bresnahan/status/521034307020668929

That part about being in a lot of pain doesn't sound good.

Lin's got a pretty high pain tolerance. He's always bleeding on the court from knocks and hard hits when he goes in for and-1 layups. He even tried to play through an agonizing chest bruise when he couldn't lift his arm (needed help getting dressed) and hurt every time his diaphragm expanded to take a breath, but still tried to stay on the court during the playoffs and play through the pain. He once had his head split open by the Bucks with a lot of blood on his face, went into the locker room to get four stitches, then came back onto the floor and played.

So for Byron to say that Lin's in a lot of pain, considering Lin's high pain tolerance....hoping for the best.
